Anyone work with glassfiber ?

I recently got some gauntlets that are cast in fiberglass/glassfiber (whichever).
Anyway, has anyone worked with these? I searched but couldn't find anything on here.
Can you sand them as normal?
What type of paint did you use?
Anything would help, thanks!

Yes, you can sand them, but wear a dust mask.

Use a good primer prior to paint and they will be fine

yeah, fiberglass is dangerous to breath in (tiny glass particles in your lungs!). a good mask though and you'll be fine. try to cover up as much of your skin as you can too, or you'll be itchy from all the tiny glass splinters.
