I juts use some thinners...
Can't believe that you got b@llocks past the filter? nice....![]()
hahaha! Well, that's becuase in the US "bollocks" is just a "funny british word"Kind of like "shag" That's how Mike Meyers didn;t get any heat for "The Spy who Shagged me" However, the title "Goldmember" almost didn;t pass US censors!
But back on topic...Any old paint thinner, or a hobby branded (i.e. Testors) kind?
Pfft.... you said 'Shag'...
er.. topic!
Yeah I just used a cellulose thinner from Halfords and I'm sure Hobby shop stuff is the same if not better?![]()
hehehe! See, that's what I mean, in the UK "shag" makes kids snicker, in the US people think your talking about a rug!
Erm... and OK, so just flush thinner through after airbrushing, then water?
Water? I've never used water to flush... (no jokes please)
I just poured a small amount into the pot and sprayed the mix/residue onto a paper towel till it came out clear.
p.s. I resent being called a kid!![]()
I picked up a massive container of paint thinner from a hardware shop. Like 5 or 10.00 and I'm not sure I will be able to use it all in my lifetime...
I only use it to clean. I mix/thin with same name thinner (humbrol to humbrol, testors to testors, etc..)
I found white spirit is perfect for ' flushing the brush' through between enamel colours, much cheaper than thinners, which i use to clean the brush when i strip it down...
Well... not to sounds dumb... but what are "white spirits?" (no ghost jokes) Mineral spirits?
And Mojo, remember this.. You're only young once, but you can act immature your WHOLE life!![]()
Mojo, have you seen the "Speak in ENGLISH English scene in Austin Powers: Goldmember with Mike Meyers and Michael Caine? Funny stuff!

And thanks about the thinner ideas folks!
For acrylics I use tamiya acrylic thinner and white spirit for enamels, enamels do tend to clog up a lot more than acrylics, at least thats what I discovered after not properly cleaning my 1st airbrush once, **** it![]()
