Discussion on Stormrider ICONIC Sidearms - 1 Piece Trooping Version within the The Cargo Hold forum, part of the Classifieds category; Two pieces (Gun and screw on Barrel Tip). Light weight.
Trying to order from my phone and not having much luck.
Also the link doesn't work from tapatalk.
Same sidearms offered before. That pic is from someones build using my sidearm after he cleaned off the flashing. I also have a multi piece sidearm mold. But pulling them SUCKS because of the complicated shapes.
Got it to work that time. I must have been fat fingering the captcha.
That looks great and at a good price. I would like one but there are so many other pieces I need like the jp and flight suit. SR, do you make shin tools?
just wanted to see when you might have the ee3 kit listing up?
Order in and payment sent.
SR, is this a deal that will never be happening again? I really need other parts before the sidearm but this is a good deal.
ordered and PP sent!!
Count me in.
Fixed the trigger issues with bubbles. There are (as always) a few little ripples or places where a little foam shows through but overall they are very clean. Will actually get the first 4-5 shipped by tomorrow. Once im done filling these orders, I will actually close the sale since I will need to put these molds away to get the others out. So if you want one, need to order soon.
Ok, I have to upgrade my sidearm now. PP sent
Ok, you twisted my arm. PP sent, any ideas on paint colors?
There are a couple of build threads if you search stormrider sidearm or ICONIC sidearm
I have honestly never painted one.
All but 1 of the 8 sold are done, 4 are in boxes to be shipped in AM, other 4 I need to make the end caps for.
Once the last two sell, the price will go to 125 + shipping (Ill need to order new material at the higher cost).
Ill make a few and let them sit til someone wants them and then I will start on the webleys and the HIC's
Thanks again everyone for using the system.
SR, it seems to work really well. I may use it for the FPH2 light kit when it's finished if that is ok.
Yeah sell buddy is a pretty sweet tool. I love how it updates and you can check on where your order is in the process.
Sellbuddy will hopefully be around for quite a while. The forum industry is only one of the uses at the moment. And it has saved me TONS of time already. Those that used it, I would love to have a quick testimonial once your order is complete.

All that are boxed are waiting for the mail to open tomorrow. I forgot it was a holiday
MM, I think you have a really nice tool in sellbuddy. It seems to work really well and I like the direct link to Paypal. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, I will be using it for the FPH2 light kit.
ordered and payment sent!!
I found SellBuddy extremely efficient and effective. Registration was quick and painless, didn't require chasing down an e-mailed registration link (nor a separate log-in procedure), and led me directly to my PayPal account to send payment.
Thanks for the feedback tekering.
All orders should ship today. I actually got rid of 99% of all bubbles in the plastic, there will be a few spots where a seam line or some foam shows through slightly, but overall, they are really clean casts.
I will probably put this mold away for a while.
I do have three 'second rate' blasters out of the 10 I pulled. The second rate blasters have some distortion in the smooth parts of the barrel. They would n eed to be sanded a bit, and maybe some filling, but the parts that you see while in the holster are perfect.
If anyone is interested they are 70+ shipping. Ill post a pic of what I mean. They are still very nice, but not having the mold fully pressurized when doing the foam causes some mis-shaping in the flat spots.
These are the last three for a while. New batch of materials + new price of materials = probably 125 next run.
I'll take one of them. How do I pay for it?
One sold to fettfanatic
Two left. One pretty good one. One that is meh. (prob sell that one for 50+ shipping) the top edge needs quite a bit of work. Still only parts that are in the holster though).
I will take the 50.00 one. Please let me know how to pay. I posted on your other thread. Still looking for an esb ee-3 Thanks.

I'll take the pretty good one ($70) last one if still available.
I am reworking my mounts for the ESB rifles. I have the front almost scratch built, need to redo the back one. May not redo it all. may just tweak it. I will PM you two the info to pay. Thanks.
I can't wait to get mine. SR, need a helmet RF light kit? If so let me know, we can work something out.
Tried to submit order , couldn't because they are out of stock. Let me know if I'm missing the obvious,,,,,, Doh!
I may need one down the road Jc. but I may end up selling my fett all together. The long story short is I need a surgery very badly, and have to drum up the down payment or they wont touch me. So I am doing double duty with my molds and my software, and selling a lot of the things I have. Quality of life versus simple pleasures. But thank you kindly. I will remember and forward on people that ask me about it. For some reason, I have 120 unread messages in my inbox from my hiatus. Most questions (random

Duh, sidearm questions.... Send me a direct paypal, not a sellbuddy. Sellbuddy doesnt allow discounted invoices (yet
Hey Mike, I got my sidearm in today and once again, a beautiful piece. Looking forward to working on it soon.
Its really light right? Way better than a solid cast IMHO. And your very welcome.
Again, remember to leave feedback in sellbuddy. I only have a couple months of testing before it goes live.
Thanks in advance.
My sidearm arrived (thanks), but there is a problem. PM inbound...
PP sent . Thanks FettFanatic!
TK - I saw the pic. Ace ventura strikes again. I replied. Let me know which option you like, and I apologize.
SR, how do you leave feedback?
Im going to want one of these when the next run happens. Dont have the cash now. I think my Mojo one will get hung on the wall with my SR EE-3 with all the found parts on it. With all the fear of guns around here lately, im paranoid of getting them taken away at an event...so my secondary EE-3 and one of these would be perfect
I have actually thought of making a 'sidearm/holster' combo, that is all one piece, that weighs almost nothing, for trooping. That couldn't be taken away and lets face it, we never take this thing out anyway.
Ooh - I lighter version of the holster would be AWESOME. The rubber is just so **** heavy...
Great idea SR. Then people wouldn't try to take it out and break it and the weight wouldn't pull your ammo belt down.
OoOoO that IS a good idea! ....as long as it can maintain the look that its not one piece...buuut knowing your work, im sure thats doable
Got it today. So light it's almost unbelievable. Already started the prep work. Thanks Mike.
The one piece idea is really cool. The holster is pretty heavy.
Just opened mine up, great job SR. I can't wait until I get some time to work on it. Stupid question thought, how does the screw on tip piece go on? Is there a shaft that it gets mounted to?
Ok figured it out, the tip was broken off and in the box, can I just glue it back on?
Ohh no the gun tip? Yes you can sand both pieces and glue it. The indentation of the barrel tip causes a weak spot. Almost every gun brakes there at some point by dropping it or trying to flex it.I actually send mine down so its missing that gap and glue it just to make them stronger
I'm on the road but will message you tomorrow to discuss.
No worries dude, we can figure it out.
If you glue it, I will reimburse you the cost of materials and etc and what shipping would have cost sending it back.
For feedback for sellbuddy:
If you log in you have an option to leave feedback. You also received an email on purchase (Check your junk folders)> That has a link to the feedback page for this transaction.
If you did NOT register, you can still leave feedback, and after you register it will find any feedback that was left for your email (before you registered) and apply them to your account. Regroactive feedback restoration is not automated atm, its manual but will be automatic when the system goes live.
Registration and use is free, forever, selling one thing at a time is free. Forever. The use of the mass selling tools comes with a subscription, but that's because I have to pay the bandwidth/server/storage to deliver the images millions of times all over the world. But its not necessary to have a paid account. Ever.
In the future there will be:
A garage sale app (Can put multiple items for sale in one ad
A invoice app (A way to invoice people, pay it, and receive feedback for the transaction whether its buy sell, work for hire, etc. )
Facebook and twitter feeds/plugins to integrate seamlessly.
Shopping cart plugins to share/buy/sell/feedback through the major freeware shopping carts all over the internet.
I have invested a lot into this idea. More than any of you could fathom. Patents. 2000 hours of programming. So all feedback is welcome and taken very seriously.
got my gun yesterday and had the same issue as a previous poster with the tip. SR, I sent you a PM. thanks!
- - - Updated - - -
trying to rate this purchase, but the site keeps saying there is an issue with it's syntax. will try again later.
I will just glue it and don't worry about any reimbursement, it's fixable so it's not a big deal. Will regular superglue work or should I use something else like gorilla glue?
Fixing the tips is simple, BUT youll need to do something.
Where it breaks, will be a lip. Because there is a groove there below the barrels gnarled texture and the guns tip. Youll want to sand that off (of the tip and the gun) so you can glue flat to flat. I can take a pic when I get home. Its a simple fix. but annoying. I have also had people use a litte dowel rod in there to make it stronger. And two part epoxy.
Super glue does work well on these guns.
A pic would be great. I was thinking of using a dowel rod or something like that.
I don't have any more til I get rubber. But let me explain this with a photoshop pic.
The gun tip has an indention under the tip. That spot is inherently a 'break' line. Like if you scored plastic and broke it, its magic. I have broken a lot of these.
I take the gun at the break, sand down the gun side and the tip side (pic 3) and then glue it back together like 4.
The tip ends up having a full all the way around edge to glue on and it rarely breaks here again. If you are concerned, you hollo w alittle foam out, and use a dowel on each side and epoxy. You can do it with the dowel and epoxy and glue it without sanding off the break point (2) and it will hold, but a dowel and picture 4, is the best.
I use a plastic pen instead of a dowel, super glue bonds to plastic better than wood.
Cool. Mine actually broke where the shaft and the tip meet. I am just going to sand the two pieces and insert a pen (good idea) and glue them together with double bubble (5 minute epoxy).
It will be more stable that way. Im sorry it broke in the mail. The person I am having help me ship didn't understand how to wrap the cardboard around the barrel and tape it. Mis communication. Wont happen again.
Dude, no worries. I will fix it, so it's not a big deal. I would use bubble wrap instead of paper to wrap the sidearm though.
I got mine on Friday... same deal with the tip not being connected.
Holy hell. Well, same deal, if you want to fix it, Ill cover the price of materials etc. If you want to send it back, Ill send you another. I am cutting silicone from that area of the mold, so it will essentially look just like a repaired tip from now on. it is just a weak point in the design when casting and there isn't much else I can do.
So essentially youll get the same gun, without that groove (it wil look as if it was filled in with weld because of the cut.
As always let me know, and I apologize.
Stormrider- this thing is awesome! I finally got around to cleaning it up last night and noticed that it isn't broken, it just needed to be cleaned up then screwed on.
It is rediculously light and I am so happy I bought it. Great products, service, and prices. You have a customer for life.
Thanks vultana, glad you like it. It has its flaws, some cleanup, but it wont pull your pants down when you have your costume on, that's what I like the best about it
Missed this run, that's what I get for going on holiday, any plans for another run at any time?
I am opening up 2-3 more today. The ad up top will reflect current stock.
Ill be opening this, the ESB EE3 and probably a limited heavy ROTJ rubber barrel version for 225 at 12 EST.
Three more added.
Ordered and pp sent
Thanks newfett72. Should go out monday.
ordered and PP sent I think.
You are indeed on the list my friend.
Got mine on Friday and its awesome. Thanks brother. Can't wait to see my EE3

Remaining sideams should ship tomorrow or weds. All done but two barrel tips.
SR, these things are selling like hot cakes. Great job. I'm hoping to get mine at least repaired and cleaned up this weekend. Now I just have to get an EE-3 from you, hopefully soon.
The problem with a solid resin sidearm is that they weight SOOOOOOO much. Your drawers come down.
I have a real holster, and I am trying to figure out a way to make a really light holster, that is accurate. But of course, theres some serious work into doing something like that.
I received mine insanely light and IMHO very accurate! Very happy with this sidearm thanks SR!
Glad you like it! May it not pull your belt down in combat!
I'm sure you will figure out how to make a holster like your sidearm. And I'm sure it will be awesome.
3 more added
Only 2 left now!
Should ship Monday necro. Thanks.
After my surgery im probably only doing one run a month unless I find shop space once I get to florida.
Anyone needing things pls sign up, or let me know if you are waiting so I can pre-make things.
I received my lightweight sidearm.Very pleased with it.Thanks SR.
Glad m8. May it not pull your pants down in a firefight.
Anybody do any work on theirs yet? Love to see pics. These things are awesome.
Got mine today....fantastic work !!! Can't wait to get started on it.
Hope the surgery went well mate - never fun.
This is such a beauty...now I just need to find a holster to put it in !
I need to work on how to do the two piece version, light.
The issue is the grip on my split trigger, two piece version pours perfect. But the barrel piece, which I fill with foam, expands a bit. And then it doesn't slide into the grip!
I stopped wrestling with it last year, but since I cant do any sports for three months after surgery, perhaps I should geek out and make it happen.
Got my sidearm in yesterday, an unexpected day after Christmas surprise! Awesome work brother, at a glance it shouldn't take much finish work at all to be ready for paint.
