Die Cutters ready
more to come...
Could I still get in on a US size 9 Jango boot?
You can put me down for the second run with a set of Jango boots, US size 11.
Hey Crow, anymore status updates on the first run?
Yes, it's been a while now since we've heard anything. Would appreciate a heads-up.
I'd like to get in on the second run please (1 set of Jango boots, US size 11). Thanks!
+1 for an update (even is nothing has been done) silence can be a killer ;)
I have a feeling Crow is knee deep in leather cutouts, thatsd a lot of boots to make when you look at the lists.
Do you have anyoner helping you with these Crow or are you tackling them all by yourself?
Well, it appears he was on here as recently as Monday....
He'll come through for sure he's been making clone boots for some time so he has to be covered up with work.
Yes, I have a pair of his clone boots from a ways back. His communication back then was very prompt and courteous.
But Werstrooper is right - once you've taken money, dropping out of sight is just asking for trouble.
any updates on the project???
I received this meeasge from him 2-3 days ago on another forum......"Yes all is well, I am just waiting my turn in the soles factory to use the molds, the molds were made in Colombia and they use almost 10 weeks to do the job, the factory line is now a little busy cause the school season started and kids soles is now his priority, they are going to give me a window to my soles in a few days more, after this season will be very easy order more soles dozens.
Here's my problem: what's so hard about proactively posting that information on this forum? He could have cut-n-pasted that very message he sent you, and posted across all of the boards on which he's selling the boots in a matter of minutes.
I honestly don't mind waiting. I just really dislike the information blackout.
Finally I can back with the good news, I have with me somepics about the making of the molds:
they use to make a silicone glove with the CNC matrix, then fill with refractory claying to take a positive then go to a ceramic oven the contraction is 0.5%
after that they fill with melted aluminium, the process is like this: (BTW, i love the music background)
Silicone rubber(HY-208/218/408/418) for shoe mould making - YouTube
and here the first soles test pulls, check the sizes and the closeup details:
As I am very satisfied with the test pulls, they are now injecting the soles, I was in a waiting list cause we are in scholar season making kid shoe soles, right now they started to inject in the Jango molds, with the soles in my hand I will finish the boots.
The moulds are made in aluminium and not in high temp silicone, the details will be always sharp by the aluminium molds.
I can not take new orders until finish this commitment run, after the delivery I will start a continous run.
Just a word more, normally in Ecuador, all factory soles machines are calibrated up to 43eu sizes, they really made a big effort to resize the CNC machines, recalibrate the injection dosis machines and retrain the operators to reach the sizes up to 48eu size, this journey was a constant learning and challenge for the factory soles, now they have the Know How to make to me new projects like this but now in less time (next project will be the Sierra Sneakers boots for biker scouts).
I will be finishing the boots soonely and I'd like to see a ton of pics of my boots on CVI, if all goes well with the american visa I will be with you in Orlando.
PM Sent to ya Crow about my Force Pike Order
AWESOME news update G!! They look better than I expected. I recall you mentioned the delay due to school season starting and kid's shoes are a higher priority. Looks like these will be worth wait. I am eager to see the whole boot constructed. Thanks for the update Giovanni
looking good.........I can't wait for this to get rolling so that I can order mine.
