You have to go here:

Poste Italiane - Posta Raccomandata

It's in italian and it work from 7 am to 11 pm italian time

But you can see info only for Italy. The updates ends when the item left Italy.
So you should go to your postal internet page (example USPS for USA) and you can continue to track it.
Normaly it work...for USA for sure.

BTW, on poste Italiane internet page I can read:
