Everything will be included in the seconds kits. Some work / cleanup may be required depending on how perfect you want to make it. Right now its just tacked down with CA. Canada would be roughly 20$ more in shipping. I may have to paint the tip orange to ship to canada. never tried shipping a full gun like this there. or two boxes. which may be more $

Its either this or sleep. Sleeping is contagous.

The bottom line is its fight or flight, and I need to fight. Lots of money going out and none coming in. So I have to get some stuff sold.

Im actually considering putting my painted interior back in my MR LE and selling it. It would truly be one of a kind

Like I said before, just say the word when you want the $$$ for the blaster kit. I know you are good for it and and if it helps you out that is a big plus in my book.

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

I want to start pulling them before I take any money, and get all the HICS shipped. The change in materials and ordering is slowing me down more than I wanted. It looks like the cure time may almost double. Which holds me up and the longer resins are in the mold, the faster the molds wear out. I have to figure the pulls and cost of the new materials, shipping costs for the weight of the rotj's. Lots of stuff that only happens once ive made the pulls.

I finished the ROTJ stock today. It looks great. I also made new masters for the ESB detail pieces, which are much cleaner. This will be one of the best runs yet I think.

Thanks again all for the support. Means a lot.

SR,

Not sure if you saw my post, but you've updated the threads a few times since I left it and I've not seen any acknowledgement. I'm not in a rush to get it, I just need to know if I'm one of the people who are locked in for one of the two "seconds" you have.

Thanks

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

Vultana, sorry. Right now the other 'second' I had, I hadnt picked up. When I did last night, i realized it was one I poured SOLID rubber. Which means it weighs quite a bit. Not as heavy as the real webley, but pretty dog gone heavy. It weighs almost what a solid resin one would weigh. Right now im using that one for the second round of mockups as im waiting for a new asi scope, which will be more acurate.

If you think you want it, i can weigh it, but its pretty heavy.

SR,

If they weigh the same, then I'll pass for now and save a little more and get one of your resin ones with the wooden stock.
Thanks for the update, I know how busy you are. Hope all is well.

Hello Stormrider, the HIC run will be a continuous run?? I'm very interested in one kit but honestly i will have money the next month for that, now i'm in the list for the ESB blaster kit and rather buy the blaster first, but if the run still open in that date i'll be interested.

Thank you

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

Ill be doing them as long as theres need.

Have one or two more layers of rubber and the hard shell stuff ready to go. Ill be hopefully pulling them this week/end

The material has changed on the curing side. Triple the time. So instead of 2-3 a day, I can only literally pour one.

Ill have the update and etas this week for everyone paid.

The wood frame for the shell and the expandable foam is set. Just waiting on the foam to arrive to make the shell and were off and running. After figuring out the volume i realized i needed much more material.

By the way, I am working and shipping out things every day. I know sometimes it may seem like I am not, but Ive never, since 2007 not gotten things out in a reasonable time frame. Thanks to everyone that is being patient. These things are time consuming. Especially this mold. One mistake and thats almost $1000 out the door.

Alright the mold is done, looks good. Ready to start the pulls.

I have approximlately 5 paid. I will update the list when I have time hopefully today.

I have to take my wife to DC wednesday. I will be back sunday. I hope to get a piece pulled, and pic posted of it, but wont start the production till I get back. I expect one a day starting a week for today, they will ship two days after they are pulled (I like them to lay flat till I ship them.)

Thanks

Hi SR,

Am I correct in thinking the above refers to the HICs and not the Blasters?

Thanks, and good luck with the trip. Sending good thoughts your way.

The blaster stock is going into silicone. Everything else is done.

So the flexible ROTJ can start being pulled next week when I get back.

The resin ESB can start getting made next week when I get back.

Interior kits : I have a sampel of the new mats I use. Ill test them shortly and they can start rolling out too.

I also have a new way I am going to run my sign up lists. If it works, were talking revolutionary

The HIC mold is down, first pull done. Looks great. The rubber is curing really slow. Im going to have to make a heat box for it to try to get the cure faster. 12 hrs and it tore when I took it out.

But the pull its sels is great, and no more having to trim it yourslef. Pics

The mold is flawless. The casts are flawless. The rubber I ordered is not. It isnt curing properly. I am going to construct a heat tent. (To bring the heat n there up over 110)

This rubber is tearing and it shouldnt. I have to sort it. And I will. QUickly.

I will post pics of the mold and shell.

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

The new formula has no mercury in it. All resins/rubbers that have mercury will no longer be available. It is a huge change for the rubber/resin industry. As supplies run low, they will have to change. Some companies have much more on hand.

The mercury helps it 'kick' and fully cure. Without it, its a slow process. Now, heat will do the same thing. So I probably just need to build a heat station, or get electric blankes to lay over the piece till it dries.

Ill be pulling one tomorrow and using a blanket to see if it fixes the cure.

I am able to pay immediately.

I am not taking any money or orders til I get these 3-4 out that have paid. Im going to pull a test partial pull with new rubber to see how it cures. If its good, Ill get the pulls out this week then start taking more orders. Nothing comes in front of paid customers.

Its stressful that they changed this rubber on me. I wont ship a sub par product.

I have used exactly $0 from the paid orders so everyones money is safe.

- - - Updated - - -

Let me reiterate some things.

The rubber just isnt curing fully when its thinner than 1/2 inch. Because they changed the mixture. I havent tried brushing it in, and using the expandable foam yet. That may or may not work depending on the heat. Thats why I am not doing the guns.

I however may be able to start the resin(hard) guns both rotj and esb. But my time needs to be focused on getting the paid orders out.

I made a test pull ofpart of the flat on the HIC today, and a test pull of another rubber barrell with hard foam in it to test the cure. If this doesnt work with the 80 rubber. I will refund all orders and start over. I have a couple options. Look for another hard rubber or I could do a hard resin pull and slice them for shipping, but there would be a seam that had to be filled and sanded.

I am going to do a test pull with a hard resin / hard foam ee3 tomorrow. If that goes well I will start those.

The test pull rips when I fold it over. Its un-usable.

However THE RUBBER IS SORTED. The test batch they gave me worked great. I will be able to pick a full batch up hopefully tomorrow. Get 2 pulled this weekend maybe 3.

The pull of the rubber coated with 320 foam (3 lb, x20 expansion) turned out stellar also. Its a light cast rigid foam, with a little flex, but by coating it with rubber, The flutes/tracks on the barrel are solid rubber, and it doesnt crack, chip, dent. and is VERY light.

So, that being said, once I have the HICS are caught up were rolling.

Thanks,
Mike

It is very light. I also ordered some new foam that is about as hard as pine, but weighs 1/4 the weight. It seems like itwould make perfect stocks and fills. Im excited finally things are kickign rear.

Going to test the 30 rubber for int kits tonight too.

Hi Mike,

Sorry for the dumb question but is the rubber for the blaster or HIC? I'm one of the paid full front HIC's. I appreciate the updates, I am just getting confused on what is what.

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

To clarify, the rubber pulls both HIC's AND blasters. But the immediate rubber I have is for making HICS. Not the blasters. I used some of the left over sample rubber to test on the blaster and it worked great so both kits are a go.

I will pull the first HIC tomorrow afternoon. One saturday, one sunday. So hopefully 3 will ship monday.

There is 1 pieces, and 4 fulls I believe paid for. I hope that clears that up.

Glad to hear everything is moving in the right direction!!

I am still wanting an ESB EE-3 and sidearm blaster. I can pay immediately with PayPal.

I am a little confused now if you are making the sidearm blaster, the EE-3, or both? I understand that you are doing all the HIC's first...

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

Update:

HICS are rolling. 3 done, working on 4th.

BRETT22- HIC PIECES - Boxed to ship
jgorzka - FULL - boxed to ship
chacquie - FULL - boxed to ship but NEED ADDRESS
GregatGNGMoto - FULL - IN THE MOLD - ship tomorrow
bensquared - Next on deck. Probably tonight.

This is all the HIC orders.

If there are more people wanting HICS ready to pay. PM me:
SUBJECT: HIC - SECOND PHASE - PAYMENT DETAILS
BODY:
HIC - FULL or PARTS - Location and I will send you the paypal info.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

KCPR your sidearms are boxed to ship had to fix a mold.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am finishing the stock mold for the ROTJ.
I have 20 stocks for ESB.
I can do the sidearms now 125 shipped. I would prefer to try to make one hollow first to save weight. Solid will make your pants fall down.

I am going to start a thread for each I think.

Last but not least, I am working on the int kits finalizing the cheek and a few other little pieces. Rubber on order.

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

Price on rubber ee3 is still up in the air, but in my opinion the ROTJ hard resin/foam filled will be SUPER tough and SUPER strong. And SUPER light. IMHO it will be the best trooping and display blaster. The seam lines are small. Its in pieces. You can use my scope or put a real one on it. Its complete. Probably the nicest piece ive done.

The rubber ones will take much longer to cure. but in all might not be bad. I am going to try a two part blaster also. Rubber end, hard resin/firm rest. Foam filled. The ultimate blater IMHO.

They are looking like 225-275 shipped. Complete. Depending on the cure times and how hard it works the mold.

only pms for hics at the moment.

im going to start a thread for both rifles soon.

I have the new stock with greebles in the mold (ROTJ) once thats done, rotj's will roll out.

ESB's are available now, but turn around is 1-2 weeks as they are a lot of parts. But on your door 2 weeks for the ESB

ESB is 240 shipped. I will inslude a scope cast that can be used. Still need flash tube. Includes all greebles, molex, webley, wood stock. You only need the flash tube and a scope (if you dont want the cast scope included.

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

The stocks are a new thicker, better quality stock. They cost me more for each stock.

Heres the breakdown.

Molex: 20-40$ wherever you buy them. These are real not cast.
Stock: 60$
greeble kit on ebay (for a ****** SET) 20$
Scope mounts: 20$ (******)
Rings/shrouds ebay (Again ******) $20
Paypal fees 10$
Shipping $10

This means the webley cast (which is arguably the best your going to get) is <> 70$ ish. depending on how you break this all down.

Also ralize theres $300in costs for the molds, + time

Re: HIC run. EE3 ETC - Stormrider

I have the ESB and ROTJ molds all set. I just need to get a pic that will allow me to show what I am selling.

Both kits will be sub 250 with very minimal cleanup.

The sidearms are honestly the best trooping sidearm you are going to find. I am shipping a bunch of stuff today and tomorrow, the first sidearm should arrive. I can guarantee no one else has a sidearm this light and strong. I guarantee personally.

I need to tweak my signup app to remove the password (I think it scares people) and make it add the name as soon as you leave for paypal. (So if you cancel the 'pending' shows up).

I will try to post the new signups today.

Mike

Ohh and to anyone who didnt get a reply from a PM, yes, I havent replied to any fo the 50 pms about items. I dont have time. I have time to look through here and make items. Thats why I requested people not send me pm's about buying things.

So it wasnt personal if you didnt get a response. And I apologize.

Stormrider,
Back on 07-24-2012 you posted

"Also note I have a prefect brand new volvo panel for the control boxes. I am thinking about doing a set of them for 125 150 shipped double sided exact replicas."

I am VERY interested if you are still going to get a chance to crank these out. I can pay immediately (US location). After the quality of the HIC cast I got from you, I see no reason to even consider anyone else :-).

Thanks!!!

I am moving soon, so i will get on it asap.

These wont be available for 6 months once I move. so if anyone wants one, now is your chance.

I have what I need now to do the blasters (both kinds) but will have limited space. So The delays after paying is going to be 2-3 weeks depending on the load of front load orders.

I also have the helmet interiors ready to go.

When I open this up i will post but if I get slammed with orders, it could mean a little delay, but I have NEVER had an issue delivering items in a reasonable time period.

Ill open up the threads tonight, and explaine xactly whats in each one.
