nope, not yet.
nope, not yet.
I got some of your greeblies. They look great but the surface feeling is kind of funny, I guess is the 3D printing. Should they be sanded before painted to have a smooth finish? Do they need any kind of special primer? Any advice would we appreciated.
Has somebody else painted them yet?
Just placed my order today. Will let you all know how it goes.
I ordered a set of these and seem to get a lot of extra parts and some missing parts.
Trying to work it out with shapeways, to get my missing mesh grill piece.
Looks like they are going to reprint the missing mesh grill piece and send it to me.

Just got mine today and checked it off against the list in the thread and they are all there. Now I have all the bits to start my HIC.
JUST NEED TO PULL MY FINGER OUT!!!
Shapeways is changing prices! It affects the greeblies greatly. The price is going to go up at least $115 dollars, probably more. Order tonight if you ever plan on getting these at a reasonable cost!
They're changing their pricing algorithm and it affects models with multiple pieces a lot. There are 115 greeblies and I expect the cost to increase by a dollar per part, as of tomorrow. If you're planning on doing a build, I suggest ordering tonight. To get them all, use these two links and be sure to order ASAP.

Order both of the above links if you want a complete set of greeblies. It's $168.50 for the full set. Again, please order tonight if you'd like these prices
Ordered! Can't wait to get them and finish my HIC
I spend a few hours reworking the parts yesterday and was able to bring the price back down. Not down to what it was, but certainly reasonable at $220 for the complete set.
Hi guys! Han in Carbonite greeblies are available again. The price is a tad more than before but still a great deal for 111 (plus two extra nipples in case you lose 'em) custom-made pieces. You need to add FIVE items to your cart to get the full set of greeblies. It's five sets, one for the nipples/smaller parts, one for parts with holes in them, one for the clips, another for the handles and a box, and finally one for the mesh grill. You can order them here:
http://shpws.me/wHXa parts with holes

Embarrassingly enough I just realized I was short a flat head u clip from shape ways. I didn't realize until recently that there were 2 clips on the 2nd panel so I thought I was sent an extra clip. Anyway, if any of you were shipped an extra clip (Flat or phillips) I would be interested in purchasing it from you.
I PM'd Zenix to see if he had one laying around but I figured I would throw it out to the forum since it seems many of you have gotten odd parts orders from Shapeways.
Thank you all very much,
discount this week! Don't Miss Out:3D print in Strong & Flexible this week and save 15% with codeMARCHSF
I have a single set of panels ready to ship.
boxes are always available, as are greeblies.
metal greeblies (clips and grill) are available for preorder
Clips are ready too! I'm excited, are you?
Tooling is complete and the first sample has been made. Here's a pic from the factory.
Remember, these are aluminum, just like the ones used on the real prop. That means they'll be more flexible than the steel ones made several years ago, and wont rust. I'll be including all three kinds of bolts and nuts so you'll have it as accurate as possible to complete your replica.
Order form is here: Zenix's HiC stuff. Don't forget to fill it out or I won't know where to send your stuff!
The final price for a set of clips in this pre-order is $128 including priority shipping, and $153 if you're getting a grill too. I'll update this with international shipping quotes at a later time. If you only want the grill, it's $28.25 shipped in the US and $33.50 elsewhere.
I'm accepting $88 non-refundable (gift payment family and friends) partial deposits at email@example.com via paypal and will accept pre-payments until September 7th which is 3 weeks from today. I'll then start production and the parts will arrive here in Baltimore by the end of September. I'll ship them out and you'll have them the first week of October. Feel free to make the full payment now too if you feel so inclined.
I've got to decide now how many to make, so this will be a limited run, and I'm not sure if we'll be able to gather enough demand again in the future, so if you think you want these, now's the time to let me know and submit payment. I'll be ordering some extra beyond the count I get here because I'm sure there will be some people who want, but I can't lay out unlimited cash right now so please order if you or someone you know plans on making one of these in the next 3 years.
For those not pre-ordering, please reconsider. They'll be more expensive and limited in quantity after September 7th.
Thanks for sticking with me and it's been fun.
(I'm also launching a kickstarter today so if you know anyone in Baltimore who might be interested check this out too www.charmcitymaps.com)
