Can anyone in the UK who has received their helmet tell me if it was shipped via airmail and how long it took to arrive? I've still not received mine.
Surely it can't have been shipped surface mail?
Despite the US Postal Service's best efforts, look what arrived yestertoday:
You might have noticed that I made up a new day... yestertoday. Let me tell you a story...
So, there was a shipping problem, and the helmet got bounced all the way back across the country to Oregon. Chris re-shipped it Priority Mail to get it back out to me ASAP.
I checked the tracking number yesterday (4/14) and saw that they attempted to deliver it on Saturday the 12th (it is my office address, and we aren't open on weekends). The tracking site says to call or fill out a web form to reschedule delivery. I call and they say that it's been returned to the main postal center and the earliest they can re-deliver is the 16th, but I can pick it up if I want.
Conveniently, the postal center is next door to my daughter's daycare, so that was easy.
I went in to the postal center and they said "it was delivered yesterday"
Refresh the tracking page and sure enough, it was delivered at 3:30 yesterday.
Check with the admins at work... no-one picked up a package for me.
Checked with building security. They said that the USPS often leaves packages on the loading dock and that they have an "unclaimed mail" shelf out there.
Sure enough, there it was.
So... they bounced the package back on Saturday because we were closed, but left it outside on an open loading dock overnight last night? Wacky!
In any event, it is now safely in my hands, ready to be painted at my earliest possible convenience!
Any update on the remaining helmets, Chris?

Deiusx, JimmyC, Keith ... your parcels were still in "stasis" with my shipper. I also apologize for that as well. In light of recent circumstances (the death I spoke about earlier) , it has been a challenge to stay on top of things. Though it's only been about 10
days, I think it affected me a little harder than I was ready for. However, I've had time to take a deeeeeep breath, dust myself off, and move along with things as normal.
I can't reiterate enough, how much I appreciate you folks, and the patience you've all had with me. Especially in the final stages where something like the "unexpected" hit without warning and pushed me back a little just as I was finishing this up. So, from the bottom of my heart, I say "Thank You" to you all.
Back to business. By week's end, this will all be wrapped up. The last 6 including the few members who's packages were in stasis.

Still here. Still not going anywhere. I've been trying to catch up on things as said before. The personal tragedy set me back "proportionally" to what time I took "off" in between. I didn't expect that it would be that bad, but two weeks is two weeks. So bear with me. Please keep in mind that it is a VERY rough time for me personally. And as always, I am STILL taking care of business. I would ask for a little extra courtesy and understanding with me in this extremely difficult time.

No biggie, I ordered a bunch of stuff in addition to the helmet so I assume it will take a while, just wanted to clarify that in the even that it makes a difference for anything.

Still here. And FINALLY wrapping this up !
A sincere apology, again unfortunately.
In short, with the recent death spoken about earlier, and the recent "cat out of the bag" regarding a major project that
took me away from the boards last year (that was just unveiled), the timing just hit at all at once and of course, set me
all sorts of ways in all directions. Please understand that as with anything, timing is everything. I didn't expect it all
to come down at once. BUT, as everyone can likely see by now, I was never truly MIA. Just seriously torn in all directions
with it all. I told ya I would never let down this community I'll always wish I could have been more forthcoming a lot earlier
about the original delays that led us here.
All that having been said though, this all "finally" coming to an end for you folks. You can all see the last BIG THING that
dominated me is moving along in it's own direction, and for the first time in nearly two years, I can get back to my roots.

Can i have an update on my helmet please. I think its 21 months i've been waiting now.
Really, I've been trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but what are customers to think without updates. How hard would it be to provide weekly updates to those that have already paid. Considering orders and money are still being taken. Yes, life happens, this is why most providers don't take so many orders so far in advance. Let's get updates, and in the future hold each other accountable.
As usual, I've not received any notifications from this thread of any activity, so I apologize for the lack of presence.
I'm still here, and filling orders every week. As stated a couple of weeks ago (right before Comic Con), all of the big
secret projects that had been forcing me to juggle my time are now publicized and concluded which means it's
back to business. But please understand, that it's just taking me a little time to get through the back log. Keep in mind,
I am a business, therefore normally there are rotating orders all year around. Though I did in fact stop taking normal
orders with very few exceptions almost 2 months ago to finish getting everything squared away. The announcements
over the last three weeks or so that have been made about my professional involvements should be a pretty good
indicator that I'm as solid as I've ever been, in that I'm not going anywhere. I have roots, that few others have here.
I've just been doing too much lol My fault, is not being able to keep up with communications through this VERY busy time.
As Swedalorian, Dynamic, TXFett, and a HUGE number of other people can attest, I'm fulfilling my orders with you
folks. But I've had to switch back and forth between backorders and GMH's to get it all wrapped up.
We've got 6 remaining of the original GMH run, and 9 GMH backorders to finish. The "original run" 6 are about to be
shipped this week (including Keith). That was delayed simply due to timing with everything that came to a head in
the Month of July all at once. The others, as stated before will be handled outside of this thread, and in short
RaAlverez - Your second helmet is a slot purchased from KaanE. You're not forgotten, or slipped through the cracks.
One will be filled as part of the last 6 and the other to follow. "In Order".
Kcr7pr - a replacement chest diamond is due to be shipped this week.
But I will again ask, that any other normal business be handled outside of this thread. This is the last week or so
before this thread's purpose has been fulfilled.
Supplemental update (VERY IMPORTANT) :
As far as communications go, the PM system isn't working as well as I would like it to here, even with the additional help
from Flo. We've decided to start tandem communication through FaceBook, where there you can also use my direct
phone number for txt updates. I've been testing this over the last 2 months and seems to work better than I
would have ever expected. We've found that a direct line to the source (me) is about as good as anyone can expect
for customer service from anyone. It's certainly the best I can do for you folks and am all for the extra security it
will hopefully bring to you. There are very few makers, if any, that will extend that courtesy to their customers. Just
remember, the frustration is there for both of us. I can't be faulted for having items in hi demand. It's how we streamline
the communications that will benefit us all. So, hit us on FB messaging, or utilize the txt invitation I've extended you if you
have any big concerns, or require an update and I will personally respond to help keep you in the loop. I would appreciate not abusing
the invitation for this to work as intended. And by that I only mean, this is for paying customers with current orders from here
on out. Just friend us, that's the only requirement) and we're there !

I apologize for the false start, but it hit me a little harder than expected and added to part of the recent delays. I've eluded

Chris - are the "final tracking numbers" going to be posted here or PMed? It has been a week since your post and I haven't received any messages yet.
Strange that the following message states that materials had been allocated, for my helmet almost a year ago, yet my helmet has not even been started? If this is a business then why are customers here having to wait? I have not seen updates, I have seen a Facebook page that has been taken down. All I know is that since last November I've been told that my order will be arriving soon. Anyway, we purchased from here, the site was used to market the product, Chris you even PM'ed me directly to see if I wanted to purchase from you. I guess I find it interesting you have had my money for over a year, but updates here, or replies here are an issue? I'm not looking to start an argument, I just think you are not understand this from your customer's point of view. I personally cannot say I have ever worked with a business that would have me pay upfront for a helmet, saying it will be there soon and not deliver it for a year or two. I understand life gets in the way sometimes, but I have no idea what has been going on in your life to hold things up as I don't have an update. I guess I need to do a google search or something? Again, not trying to start an argument. I just don't see if the business came from here, the dollars came from here, we now need to find another way to contact you as PMs have become inconvenient?

Kind of awkward though, as when orders are paid, materials are allocated
and it leaves me in a funny place. However, I'd be happy to transfer
to someone else looking to buy a GMH if you know someone. They could pay
you, and I can replace your name with theirs.
Otherwise. it's difficult and it's generally my policy not to refund custom orders.
I'd ask that you keep the offer on the qt and not publicly post about it though.
It could become a logistics nightmare if more people took this route lol

His facebook page is still up....Hes been responding to my messages within the same day they're asked. He told everyone where you can reach him since this system was giving him problems. So he came up with a new way which in my experience is working better. Try to add him as friend and send him a message.
