THIS thread has been established for the sole purpose of fulfilling and finalizing
business with regard to the original GMH run. This is for members who participated
between Oct. 2010 through July of 2011.

All other business related to the GMH helmet after these dates, are not part of THIS
thread and are either already fulfilled, being fulfilled or will soon be fulfilled outside
of this thread by way of normal means of communications through either private
messaging or email.

Once the members listed here are fulfilled, this thread will have served it's purpose
and will be archived.

As stated in the first paragraph, remaining helmets into 2012 are already
filled or will be filled (about 7)outside of this thread as they were taken
in regular business. There were only so few because sales dwindled after
so much time passed in non-fulfillment's. And, I stopped taking orders for
the most part in March. So if your pay date is after August of 2011, please
be patient, they're almost done and I will message you directly when shipped.
A good number of those have already been shipped and received and you
know who you are. No one else has been been forgotten.

Those "few" that had armor on order at the same time as their GMH will be
fulfilled separately and in timely fashion. I'm doubling up shipping
this way (at my expense) , but it fills the long waited GMH void and is very
necessary to tame the growls of dissatisfaction. Thank you for understanding.

No. 30 helmets remaining from the original run. You, are in the next 5 after that.

This time, I will post a list with every member's name that each helmet in the pic
is spoken for, so there is no further guessing as to who's is still left outstanding
from the original run. As they are shipped this coming week, there will be delivery
confirmation numbers added respectively.

All the comments aside, the list mentioned above would be helpful for me. I'm sure others, patient or not, understand the relivence of such a tool. With less focus on the one-on-ones posts, and more focus on overall group information, I believe things can stay positive. ;)

I think when Chris gets agitation here, it takes the focus off the Big Picture, and reduces things to a smaller less productive focus. Do I agree with the way everything has unfolded to date? No, and there are unforseen circumstances that no one had allowed time for. A return to a copascetic working environment is best to get things moving forward for everyone.

Just a thought: If a downloadable PDF, of the prior thread, can be made available in a link. This will allow those that want a copy to have one. Thus, no one has to make this an issue. I believe this will be helpful to all.

Empower those to solve their own issues, and adult actions and conversations will hopefully prevail.

I can certainly understand the desire to have a fresh thread for the next run once the first run is wrapped up. 35+ pages is a lot to follow!

The original thread has been restored to the cargo hold, but remains locked so that those parties involved can reference it as needed. As a rule we don't remove threads from the cargo hold when a run is still ongoing, so that needs to stay at least for now.

Still here guys. It's only been a few days since my update picture post. Please relax. I stated
that I would be getting these shipped as swift as possible over the course of a week or so. At
the time of positing, I was still awaiting my additional materials and boxes shipments.
Shipping is commencing. And this is moving and not stagnating.

To those members that are inquiring about their slots since my picture post, there are a couple
that were re-arranged accidentally and mixed with regular orders (by my own mistake) and will
be rectified. However, there are a couple that are not a part of the final stages of the original
run. There will be another short list added to those members listed as "currently in production"
to make sure we have this final part of the original run finished. But I need to reiterate, that there
is no wave 2 or wave 3 TBA publicly, because there aren't that many left beyond what is posted.
The regular order members will be taken care of swiftly, but not as a part of this thread. I've posted
A LOT of members here, we need to get through this final stage so we can move forward with current
orders and all things pretty and shiny new.

I keep meaning to get one of those natural gas powered generators. They are expensive, but it seems like the power goes out when the wind blows (which is every day in Oklahoma) so it would be worth it in the long run. It stinks being without power.

Wow... having never lived outside of a major metro area, I can't imagine what that's like.

If we lose power for 10 minutes the city is ready to string up the power company. My complaints are usually more about how none of the 3 cable providers in my town offer Cartoon Network in HD and how the local Reynolds Advanced Materials store isn't open on weekends!

You country folk just confound me ;)

You're not on this list, because your order was taken as part of normal business
and will be be fulfilled outside of this thread. Your order is also a multiple item

The helmets listed above are the remainder of those members of the original run.
When I started this new thread to cut down on the mess of having to read through
1000+ posts for folks, I copied the original first post from the original sales thread
to make a connection to the original sales thread. Unfortunately, my not editing
the first post after copying it over to distinguish it from a sales thread is giving the
impression that it's an open sales thread for everyone to check on their orders even
through present. There needs to be a distinction here folks. At some point, this thread
has to end. And it will end with those remaining members listed above. Beyond that,
any normal business should be conducted with me, through normal means (messaging/emails).

I've edited the first post to reflect this so that there is no more confusion. My apologies
for not considering this sooner.

Unfortunately, Gav needs a minimum order for the ears. So far, only ten people have sent payment. Not sure if people are just not aware of it our what, but he has said off he doesn't get a minimum order, he may not be able to do the run....

Well, I think it may be too soon to count it out. I can't help but feeling
partially responsible considering the delay in getting the rest of
these helmets out. Though it did take quite a while to get the ear project
off the ground ! ;) It's entirely possible that folks might be a little reluctant
at first because they're still waiting to see if they'll ever get a helmet to go
with them lol :lol

Hopefully, folks seeing that we're nearly done (1st Post!) and seeing that
helmets are now arriving practically everyday, it will allay concerns
and ease hesitations. I really believe that there won't be a cooler, more
accurate combination than the GMH and MJF Ear sets. One's obviously
made for the other too ! :lol

What happened here was, I had dropped your parcel with the shipper
and apparently called in the next day to put a hold on it because I'd
caught your note about sending it to your work and I'd already
addressed it to your home. The shipper had already purchased
the postage the day of drop off, which is why it shows that way on-line.
This was a matter of my forgetting to re-address it with the shipper
and re-issue postage. My apologies. Luckily, they've held onto it
all this time til I took care of it lol

Will be taken care of today, or tomorrow morning. I'll include the
first postage sticker if they can't swap the fee's so you can see.

So I have to ask, why is it that some of us are receiving fiberglass helmets and some of us are receiving rotocast resin helmets?

As far as Iknow they are all fibreglass, I don't think Chris does the rotocast thing. He is just very good at glass work.

The helmet I received is rotocast resin.

Yes, there certainly is a mix. And, there are a couple of reasons actually.

First and foremost, this was one hell of a task. The fact is, there was no way for me, or anyone else working alone for that matter to be able to complete a task this size without some technological assistance. Helping hands in the form of equipment, if you will.

Secondly, I seem to have developed a sensitivity to fiberglass. Since the majority of you folks are newer here, it may not be common knowledge that I've been at it this for nearly 14 years. It's been slowly catching up with me. Whereas it's not normally a huge thing in smaller doses, fiberglass in this quantity for one man is pretty toxic, to say the least. I've been transitioning away from glass for nearly 3 years. And, I hope to transition completely away from it someday.

If there is a concern with fiberglass vs. rotocast vs. quality … make no mistake, none of my pieces are are cheap hand slush "layered" resin. My roto items are one shot vented "machine rotocast", for starters. No cheap general purpose resins used (like Smooth-Cast for instance). In fact, composites have come so far in the last few years, I found my huckleberry. Much like the "Hyperfirm" gentleman, it's a bit of a trade secret. But the formulation is very different, and more expensive might I add. The reliability of pieces made with it, can be compared to any of my fiberglass pieces. My confidence is so much so that I include a one year written warranty on all of my machine rotocast items to help instill confidence in the newer products. No urethane foam resin helmets, like the Sgt. Fang. :thumbsup

To date, nothing but happy campers :lol Funny enough, That's been the primary complaint over the years too. More so over the recent couple of years with newer folks that have never been around glass. Chaffing cheeks on rough fiberglass textured interiors, It seems that no matter how smooth I get the glass interiors these days, it's still not enough lol

I also understand and sympathize with the sensitivity issue. I've developed a similar sensitivity to solvents myself over the years.

I guess if I have any beef with the situation it boils down to what has been the consistent issue over the past 18 months: communication. I bought what I thought was one thing and when I opened the package what I received was something else. And after 18 months of waiting it felt like a slap in the face.

Rotocast helmets are not "better" just a different way of approaching the solution (I have other helmets that are are of high quality rotocast resin the difference is I knew what I was buying into when I started). To just assume that everyone is going to be OK with your changing the conditions of the sale without notice just confounds me. Your reasons for choosing the rotocast solution strike me as completely reasonable and valid and if I had been presented with the situation before hand I probably wouldn't have minded so much. But to do so without letting anyone know, to me, is insulting.

If others are happy with their purchase that's fine, they have every right to be, and the smooth cheeks will no doubt benefit those that will be wearing their helmets.

Just a heads up to other buyers who have not received their order and are expecting a Fiberglass helmet: you will most likely be receiving a very finely crafted helmet of rotocast resin. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
