Sorry for the lack of updates on this! the shop and myself have been stupid busy...

BUT! I have a sit down with the MD to discuss the finer details of this project and from that start to look at purchasing the materials required. so stay tuned for further updates next week.

Sorry for the delay...
Ok, I met with the shop (again) and thrashed out yet more details they were unsure of. but that being said, I will be updating this thread this week with prices for the kits (which will include all required fixings to install the ears).
All being well I should have this information by mid-week and they have suggested that the required machine that will produce these will be available by the end of the month.

Any idea how long ordering will be open for? I'd love to get a set, but I've been waiting for almost 16 months now for the helmet... I don't really feel like spending more money until I actually have the thing in hand.

I'm having a similar issue. Paid for my bucket, but not showing up on any list yet. Getting concerned, as I don't have any idea when I might have something to attach these ears to. I know he's working on helmets, but is the list so long that it cannot be published in order to know where or when we fall? This would really help me make some decisions about my helmet, and plan for progress, or additionals purchases I'll need to make for it. Kinda in limbo here.

Sadly I think the GMH project got itself so derailed that some folks may have lost their enthusiasm a bit. I had been considering just selling mine as soon as I got it in, but I'm guessing that once I see it, I'll be excited again.

I'm gonna let it run a for a little while longer to decide whether to carry on.

I will keep my fingers crossed, not sure that I have the machining skills to make my own.

I have seen this happen in threads on RPF as well recently, once it comes to time for payment all of the interested people either drop out or disappear.

Gav, is 43 the minimum number of orders needed to get the $250 price point?
Is there a sliding price scale for a lesser number of orders? Or is there just a minimum cost for the
raw materials no matter how many orders there are?

The latter really mate, I am arranging another meet with the MD with some thoughts... but at this rate it may not be worth pulling the trigger?
most of the guys I have contacted on the list have not responded with either a yes or no...

Thats a shame man...the GMH is a great helmet. Once FP gets caught up..i may still want one, and if that happens i will likey want these ears to go with, but i guess only time will tell. Especially as my cash flow now is on the low end. I dont make much prop stuff anymore and the job cut hours. Tryin to find a new job and find some prop stuff i can make without the need for a separate room which i no longer have :/

I'm not sure at the mo Kaane... bit disappointed in the lack of response to messages in either way.
Seems from some that I have received they're not happy.

I'll have to speak to the shop when I get the chance? it could be that the run is scrapped... or I may get lucky with a very small run but I doubt very much for the same price.
