The switch is a Honeywell micrswitch, model 1sx1-t. Here is a link to the site:

Now the real trick will be to see if we can get an electrical schematic for it's hookup.....

I just ordered one from mouser.com. $22 shipped. Oy. But hey... $22 for a switch to go with the $200+ helmet and $200+ ears? Drop in the bucket

It's easy. Run positive wire from lights in rf straight to positive side of battery hookup. Run negative wire from lights to switch, and then from switch to negative side of battery hookup. There are three terminals on the switch. You will only use 2. Touch exposed ends of negative wire to the terminals on the switch, press the switch, and see if lights come on. If they don't, switch which terminals you use until it works. There are only three combinations to try. I would demo a video for you, but I'm deployed. All my Fett stuff is stateside.

EDIT: 10/14/2012 - Make sure you do NOT have a mercury switch in your RF light kit. I got one from salamanderking that originally had a microswitch in the design. He made it without the switch for me. It is TINY! Again - would love to post pics, but my Fett stuff is at home. The kit he made has 4 LED - 2 Red that flash and 2 green that stay steady. It is small enough to fit into just about any RF topper out there.

    Hey guys...

Ok, we seem to be drawing near to the end of this project which has gone on for far-too-long...
The shop have finished the outer cap! (see pic)
I'm getting the stalk pivot bolts later this week and mounting hardware is being purchased along with shipping boxes... so not long now and can I say a huge thanks to all that are apart of this run and your continued support and patience.

Likewise! Pretty excited to hear back from Gav too once he gets back on the boards, as it seems there's a very good chance these ears will fit my ROTJ lid - and a pair of aluminium ears would be a lovely cherry on top for me on that project!

Re: GMH Aluminium Ears - Commitment

Ok, as Keegan has posted.. all major parts inc the pivot bolts are now in..!! Yes.....

    20121119_212604-jpg
    20121119_212437-jpg

The 1st image shows the upper right ear assy, there are no threads internal to the stalk base nor a requirement for any rubber washers and is held in position merely by the clamping action of the fitted pivot bolt. And if I say so, works as per the original arrangement.

Just waiting on the little screws etc as I have been let down by a supplier who sent the wrong ones..
Packing boxes/material are in and have the first 19 sets going out as soon as I have the brass fixings (3-4 days approx).

Almost there guys and thank you for the continued patience... I know these will look the dogs once fitted.
