Wanted to gauge interest in my wife's custom Mando I built for her last year. I'm thinking I want to put something 501st approvable together for her so we can troop together. So, getting rig of this would, in essence, fund a Scout or Royal Guard, most likely.
Not interested in parting it out, so it would be an all or nothing proposition. Here's what's included:
Here are pictures of the armor as it is currently painted and a photo of last Halloween, so you can see what the entire suit looks like assembled (you'll have to imagine how the new colors look all together). For reference, my wife is about 5'5":
- BKBT Jango helmet with dent, resin rangefinder, aluminum stalk, and custom color scheme -- this was the one part I actually upgraded from last year over the Bradleyfett she had before. If requested, I could repaint the dome to more closely match the other armor pieces, but I personally kinda like the difference.
- Rotton ab plate and female chest plates -- the C/D size ones -- with a custom Sintra neckguard. I like the WoF better than the Rotton one included and it's easier to attach a cape to
- LadySewForUs custom female flak vest and neckseal -- specifically designed for the more endowed of the gentler sex. This is not just a male vest -- as Debbie specifically tailored this for a woman's cruves. Should fit around a size 9-10 or can be altered smaller.
- Ruffkin "short" gauntlets. I actually altered these and cut them down to more easily fit female forearms.
- Sintra cod, thighs, knees, shins, and toe plates -- custom formed with rounded edges to make them look less like the cheap eBay ones. These took a LOT of work.
- White girth belt and adjustable weapon belt with cargo pouches and leather ammo pouches
- Custom blaster with scope and custom holster.
- Fabric cape with attachment studs
- Medium green flightsuit with velcro for thigh, knee and shin attachment.
- Black, blue, and white gloves
Before (with wrong belt! 99cent taco ROTJ belt NOT included!):
With actual belt and pouches:
All armor pieces are painted with layered technique and light weathering at this point. Leg armor includes snaps and straps. All told, with materials, paints, etc. I might have put over $800-900 and a lot of hours into the suit.
Assuming the recipient is about the same size, you'd be ready to go right out of the box. I'm looking for $650 for the whole shebang or the equivalent in Scout Trooper parts.
Let me know if you have any questions.
-Chris
