Re: Asok/Animefan RF Light Kits Now Available

Here is a quick video I did of the kit minus the tilt switch and the 3v battery holder. I am powering it with a 9v battery, and it works fine, although the white LED is a bit bright.

Here are some pics of the kit installed in the new Animefan topper with the wires running through the new stalk that he is including now with his helmet kits.

Since this setup does not have a tilt switch, the switch on the battery holder is how the kit turns on and off. Animefan is working on an earpiece that will fit the Honeywell switch. I can include the switch and solder less connectors for the animefan kit once he lets me know the new helmet ear piece is ready, but keep in mind that including the switch and connectors will bump the price around $18.

Re: Asok/Animefan RF Light Kits Now Available

There are 3 kits ready to go.
In post #226, the pics and video show the kit I will be doing for the animefan rf kits with the hollow stalk. The kit shown in that post does not operate using the Honeywell switch in the ear piece, just by the switch on the battery holder. Animefan is working on maybe having a space for the switch for his premium helmet kits, so I can offer my kit with the Honeywell switch if there is interest. The price will be a little more due the cost of the switch. When I get the ok from him about the ear piece, I will start a new thread and sellbuddy ad for this new kit.

No update on the servo, still working on it. I can make more kits if anyone wants one.

Hi, does the self contained rf light fits also again without adapting anything to the budget kit of animefan?

For the budget animefan helmet, the self contained kit will work fine. You will need to do some sanding to the RF topper (there are pics in the first couple posts of where you will need to sand).
Other than that, you shouldn't have to do anything else, other than maybe gluing a small magnet to the bottom of the topper and a small piece of metal to the clear piece, this will help hold everything in place. There is a pic of the magnet installed as well in the beginning of the thread.

Re: Asok/Animefan RF Light Kits Now Available

I have 4 of these ready to go. I'm not going to update the sellbuddy ad because Stormrider is going to redo the site. Once he does that I will see if I can do 2 separate ads; one for the Asok kit (with the tilt switch) and one for the new animefan kit (no tilt switch or battery holder). The new animefan kit will use a 9v battery as well as the Honeywell microswitch. I am thinking of including it with the kit, so let me know what everyone thinks about that.
