hi ,thought i would introduce myself
i am from england ,and i am trying to get started with creating my own zam costume.
i have no costuming experience, but am willing to give it a go.
ive been looking at all you guys, costumes and they are most impressive.
ive found someone who is making moulds for the blaster and some of the cast parts,
but finding it hard to find where to get the neoprene material for the clothing.
if anyone knows where it can be found ,i would very much appreciate any advice give.
its good to find this forum as its been such a good inspiration.

Welcome zam easel...

Good luck with your costume - it's a lot of work, but worth the effort I think! Zam is also my first costume, and not done yet! ;) Soon... very soon...

My advice would be to browse the Zam boards here for information on the parts your working on. I've printed out pages of info for later reference.

Regarding the fabric. Many of the members here had the fabric custom made - thanks to the efforts of Zam I Am! There isn't any left from that batch, though someone might sell their lot off. There might also be scraps left over from people's costumes as they use the fabric up. Keep your eyes on the boards for information on that. Other than that, you'll just have to hunt something down that is similar. There are a few online sources for fabric - try a Google search.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

thanks i know its not going to be a easy project,id rather take my time and produce something that looks as close to movie acurate as possible.

thaqnks for the advice :cheers

Nice! Good luck with the project. It is a lot of work but it is fun and very rewarding when it's finished. Don't hesitate to ask questions here. Hopefully between all of us we will be able to help out :)

Ooh, where'd your neoprene come from? I'm looking to replace my bodysuit eventually...

Could any of you help me make a Zam costume? My family is REALLY low on money and I'd like to be Zam for Halloween. Does anyone know how to make a low-budget costume thats as movie accurate as possible? Thanks! ~HothLeia109714
