Hey ladies (and gentle scums of the galaxy), when you're hard at work creating Zam, what music do you listen to? Assuming you listen to music as you work, that is.

I've been known to listen to anything from The Mummy or Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks to Nine Inch Nails, Hailstorm, Tori Amos, and even some Louis Armstrong. Variety IS the spice.. yadda-yadda-yadda.

So I'm really into listening to lyric-less electronic music to help me focus. A good artist of the genre is ODESZA. However, recently a friend got me into Steam Powered Giraffe (which is more of a comedy skit than musicians), but I admit, I've become quite obsessed with them :>

beyora, I swear my husband had on an old t-shirt with Steam Powered Giraffe on it. Told our son he got it in Key West years ago. So strange how coincidental that is.

Pink Floyd, now there is a memory maker for me. The Momentary Lapse of Reason album is an all time favorite (I love Seamus too).

Lol! I know it was bashed by critics, but my idea of a good time usually doesn't have the rubber stamp of a critic's approval. Ever. I think alot of people who frequent sites like this tend to have that way about them. Anyways, I've always thought Waters voice, being unusual, was a highlight for the band. But it was Gilmore's guitar and combined writing efforts from Gilmore, Mason and Wright that gave such spectacular music.
