My wife's Zam (WIP)
My wife wants to have her Zam ready for C VI.
We have been working really hard, first doing all our research homework about the costume, then looking for some parts and building some others.
So far, here are some pics, most fo the armor parts and the helmet are from Mon Cal, the ones the they don't make have been sculpted and painted by my good friend Dargas (Ricardo Vargas). The body suit was tailored to fit her after getting some neoprene (in fact we got enough to build 3 suits)
The skirt has been a real headache, so much work, we got a good amount of leather, cut it following the pattern and then hand painted square by square, still need to put it all together.
We got a air of leather gloves from a fashion store.
Still have lots of work to do, shin armor, vest, shoes/boots, but we think we are going to have it ready in time.
Here are some pics and I'll be happy to read all the comments/suggestions
Thanx in advance

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
Looks great so far!!!!
My wife just decided to do Zam.
So I will be doing most of the work. HA HA
I have been doing my research.
I think it will be a real awesome build.
It looks like "Zam I Am" is out of the Zammer business.
What did you use for the body suit in your picture in the previous post?
If I could ask where did you get the material for the body suit?
Regards,
Craig

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
Thanks!
And hereīs the first complement to those pieces I just finished:

http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...O/IMG_0335.jpg
http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...O/IMG_0336.jpg
I just need to add a minor detail to the ringlets that hold the "ovariums" in place and it can be painted once the ovarium piece is copied in resin and attached to the central piece.
then itīs painting time! yay

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
First resin cast after making the silicon molds
I used a few more drops of the resin cathalyzer so this is not the best cast you can get from the molds (but it was a hot, fast one!!! LOL)

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
Looking sexy!
Iīm re-sculpting the hose connector bells and centerpiece for the same process. Better shape, proportions and details.
Is there anyone Interested in kits for these particular pieces that Moncal doesnīt make?: central Hose connector piece and hose bells - Ovarium set parts (7 pieces in total) let me know if thereīs an interest.

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
I have started sculpting parts for my wife's Zam, but with the price of the mold silicone I might be interested in getting your parts. Send me info please. Also I would like to know what material you used for her body suit.
Thanks a bunch!

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
Neoprene that we got from Strech House.
About the price of the kit, I'm not really sure yet, still need to know how much we will spend on silicone (resin is pretty cheap)
Anyway Dargas will be the one making the call about $
BTW here is another update
Another piece done

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
Thanks, we were looking at stretch house neoprene, but couldn't get them to send us a swatch? Was worried that it might be too purpleleee? Are you satisfied with color?
Keep me informed on the parts kit please.
Thanks

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
Hey Guys, So far it looks like the Ovarium set (4 pieces) and the hose connector set (3 pieces) will got for 40 bucks the first and 30 the second... 10 bucks a piece. Shipping should be low I think. no more than 20 for boths kits I guess.
Thereīs no reason to charge more for any particular piece so itīs safe to assume that each piece will be 10 bucks Raw and 20 painted with the same quality as I did Jennyīs (Crazasīs Wife) parts.
Iīm also now working on sculpting the rest of the greeblies for the Zam costume and will be offering complete Greeblies sets for sale if anyone is interested in 4 weeks tops.
Iīll offer them in both raw and finished and Painted versions but I wonīt stop there Iīll continue sculpting until I can offer complete Helmet and armor parts including gaunts and all.
Iīll open up a thread in here, the Legion Forums and BH guild with the progress of the pieces and I hope to get at least the greblies set of 15 pieces in the course of the next 4 weeks. :D
Without the help and support of Crazas I wouldnīt be doing this, so props to him too. Heīs making all the molds on this pieces. Thanks man.
So there it is. starting in the first days of next week Iīll start posting the pieces as iīm finishing them, I might even try to get them out faster but I donīt want to rush it too much, I wan the parts to look good.
Cheers everyone!

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
I've been lurking around here on & off for a long time. I'm a 501st member, but I'm busy on a number of other forums, so I'm not on here a lot. Lately, I've spent a bit more time looking through the Zam threads. I've been following your thread with interest, as I'm gearing up to do a Zam costume for my daughter. I'd be interested in acquiring a full set of greeblies when you're ready to start offering them. If you end up offering other parts, such as the helmet, etc..., I'd be interested in those too. Once you're ready to start a run, please PM me with pricing. Thanks, & GREAT job on this so far! It looks AWESOME!)

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
Hey guys!, Luis will be posting pics for me but Today I re-sculpted the central greblie with the bells for hose attachment and the change is 300% positive on those pieces. the shape and the proportions are way better and an attachment stud was added to the bells for hose easy attachment. I also sculpted the back piece for the "banana" piece of the ovarium set of pieces with the complete loop and attachment system for the ovariums.
Both sets (Ovariums and hose bells and plaque) I will send assembled in both the raw and painted versions of the full kits for no extra cost. That way you guys donīt have to worry about putting the pieces together. Just paint and attach (or just attach if you buy my painted and sealed version... and I hope you do) to the costume vest and straps and troop away!
Craig, Iīll open an interest thread in here and the central 501st forums on monday to keep track of both the list of interested people in the kits and so I can show off, day after day, the progress of all the pieces as I sculpt them and then to show the mold progress and the final pulls of the pieces.
All pieces for the greeblies kits will be ready in no more than 4 weeks tops but I strive to have them ready sooner so we can start puling and shipping.
Jeff, as soon as I finish the greeblies full set Iīll move into sculpting the helmet pieces (including greeblies for it) and armor parts like the chest armor parts and the gauntlets. All those parts will be available before the end of this year.
Luis and me will keep masters of all the pieces so in case any of the molds die on us we can do new molds and keep pulling pieces if you guys keep needing them. We will also offer replacement parts in case anyone misses one in a troop (or has one stolen from a very enthusiastic fan) for 10 bucks each in raw form or 20 fully painted plus shipping.
We want to keep the cost as low as we can keep it without hurting ourselves.
Thanks for the interest guys!

Re: My wife's Zam (WIP)
I wasn't satisfied with this sculpture nor was Dargas,
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...l/P1060512.jpg
So he did it again, he added a plug like part to the "bells" so is it easier to fit the hoses
