I sure am EAGER to hear something. He reassured me by email that things were ok at the beginning of August and said he was moving the weekend of the 24th. That was a month ago. This initially sounded like a fairly quick project. I'd love to see him post an update here or the RPF.

    I've updated the first post!
Sorry for being MIA. I don't think I'll have time to catch up on the discussions but I will try to clean up my pm's.

Still looks awesome.... Count me in on the sound/light version!

Just one question about it ... what about batteries?

The batteries that he has put in this design are energizer 3 volt CR2032 watch batteries. I am designing the handle so that it will come apart by removing the one screw. There will be a magnet closure at the bottom of the handle but it should be very easy to replace the batteries.

Please check the update to the first post and let me know who all is still in for the electronics. I know it's a bit pricey and I always figured it might be but I couldn't have been sure until Hyperdyne finalized his design.

As for the extra blasters I know I have a couple but I need to check my interest list. I have had a few people express interest in those slots so I will let you all know if there is one available.

    thanks,
    Cal

I'm still in for the electronics! Should I be sending some $$, or is it still too soon for that?

No rush for my blaster... no deadlines at all. Still haven't cut my neoprene yet. Or done any other work on my Zam, for that matter.

I'll edit the list in the first post showing those wanting the electronics.

I am not accepting payments just yet. I finished putting the prototype blaster together (not painted) and gave it to Hyperdyne to do some final touching up. I know he has been swamped with halloween so I haven't bugged him. I'll check in with him now and see what the news is. I think he was going to take a video of it in action and put on his website. I wanted you all to see and hear what we have so far before any final decisions are made. I'll post a link to that as soon as I can.
    thanks.

I definately want the electronics version!
I'm may owe some more on top of what I paid. I'll have to check and see. I haven't been on the boards much, lots going on and my costume got put on hold a tiny bit. I hope to get back into gear after the first of the year again.
New sewing machine is sitting at my parents for my birthday/Christmas so that's a good step

    List updated!

    thanks all!
I'll get in touch with Hyperdyne asap and see if he can get that video online so y'all can see what it will do. With 12 on the list of electronics that lowers the price a bit for all of us and I can also let Hyperdyne know so he can plan on getting his sound boards ordered.

I just talked with Hyperdyne and it sounds like he has the bugs worked out of the electronics. He originally had a problem with the batteries draining down and having to be unplugged. He is trying to get a video up on his site to show the light and sounds.

Also... I can't thank everyone enough for your patience! I am so sorry this project is taking so long. I knew it would take a while but I never anticipated it would be this long.
