¿How much could cost a Zam Costume? Looking for Budget

Hey guys, I'm really interested on making a Zam Costume but I really have NO IDEA about how much could cost a GOOD quality Zam Costume, With metal blaster, etc.

Any Budgets of each item, where to find them, etc, would help me A LOT

thank you very much!!

Hum, good is all subjective. Some people are fine with using vinyl in place of Leather for example.

I'd suggest reading through a lot of the threads here. There is a 'leather parts' thread for example. Look at all the things people suggest you need to make the leather parts and look up the prices for those leather hides. (leather isn't cheap).

If you notice anyone here has offered to make parts for people (like greeblies, blasters, armor, etc), send them a PM and ask if they are willing to help.

My guess, a really good close to screen accurate costume is going to be well over a thousand dollars. Especially when you rely on other people to make parts for you and you are paying for their time and services.

Are you at least planning to sew and put together a lot of these kits yourself (or have a friend do it at no cost)? I can't imagine how much the cost would skyrocket if you had to rely on someone else to do all the work for you and buy a 'finished' costume.

I'd say closer to two thousand if you use high-end parts. Ask ZIA I'm sure she could tell you. Oh Zaaam.......?:rolleyes

Yeah, I was gonna say I kind of expect to be spending closer to $2,000 or more once all is said and done personally. But I figured saying 'well over 1,000' would be the hint that this isn't cheap, and you are adding on more and more to that price the more you have to contract work out to be done by others.

YEp she ain't cheap. I've spent about $2000 so far and I know Becky has also ordered a shed load of other stuff so close to $2500 $3000 would be realistic.
Then if you want extras like a super cool sniper rifle :) it'll go up even more.

We live in the UK and so all out stuff has come from you guys across the pond so that has helped a little. It would cost that in £'s over here.

Plus the time. Very fiddly costume but I can't wait to see it finished.

Wow, then as Ben said me, it's even more expensive than a Jango costume...

I want the best materials for each part, so I think it could cost me a high ammount of money

thanks for answers :)

Of course with any costume here you could probably cut quite a bit of Money off the top if you sew, paint, and assemble alot of the stuff yourself.
