Yeah...Another Jango Flight Suit Question

Hey My People,

I just got my LSFU Flight Suit and Vest. They look pretty good I think. The wacky thing is, it looks so different depending on the light. Sometimes the suit looks more purple, sometimes more gray and in some photos it even looks a little blue...and the vest looks gray than it looks sort of blue. Causes the flight suit color debate to make a lot of sense.

I'm going with Geonosis and when looking at the behind the scenes pics from EpII the suit looks purpleish gray. All of the referance pics here seem to be of the more blue version. Can someone who's seen the screen used gear in person let me know, Is that because that's how it looks when photographed? Or because that version has never been let loose for display from Lucas? Do you think it looks close enough to the screen used suit to work? Or should I monkey with the color and try to make it darker?

I personally think it looks fine just the way it is... it is more of a personal preference though... if you want to change the color, then that is your decision.

My two cents

Do NOT make it darker. I did that and I made my BobaMaker FS 'Barney' purple. I got it back to perfect again though. Yours looks fine. Blue/grey with purplish tint is movie accurate from what I've learned.

I added just a little purple and denim color to my LSFU flightsuit. Then I sprayed it with a light bleach solution, and washed in hot water.

I get some comments on the color but overall I like the way mine came out. I do think that this summer I will lay it out for some sun fading.

I DO NOT want to go the Barney route...thanks for the Advice Thrax - staying as is - I guess I just need to have a little tailoring done than weathering and I'm good to go. I think I have all my parts now...but first I have to finish my custom before I finish Jango.

Your welcome...I'm lucky that I have a wood burning grill (Big Green Egg) that I can go and get some soot off of and subtly smear and dab it on strategic visible areas of the FS to 'dirty' it up (graphite powder works well too) and some diesel fuel from my generator gives me the 'ol jetpack/starship aroma - just some extra for the realistism. Cheeers.
