I`m not a Jango expert at all but I really can`t imagine that this helmet is acceptable without some (major) changes. Just take a look at the CLR (501st Legion: Vader's Fist), read the requirements and compare the helmet shown there with your one and you`ll see there are some differences. Furthermore the pictures on Ebay do not always represent the actual look of an article a hundred percent. It might even look worse than shown. And a good Jango helmet has got his (not so cheap) price for a reason.
If you really want to join the 501st or just want to call a good Jango costume your own you should stay away from Ebay. There are a lot of very talented craftsmen here, just take your time and take a look at the corresponding Jango section here on the forum.

i'm with these fellas ^^^ with shipping on that Helmet you are already at $100usd ... only about another $50 bones from getting an awesome base Helmet that you could really be proud of(and add a much better paint-up yourself i'm sure) from some of the Venders on this Board.

Here's my problem. I'm not a crafter. I gotta commission out EVERYTHING I do to get this costume put together.
I got this bucket in parts and no idea what I need to get it together. I read about paint, gaskets and xyz, but again, I digress.....I am not a crafter.
How would you help me understand what I needto do to get this bucket in a functional form?
I can post pistures later of what i got if you wish.

I went with the exact same helmet and got burned. It looked okay, it was technically the right color, but it was just so oddly shaped (it was so elongated that it looked like an Alien should wear it). I then went and immediately ordered a helmet from Asok for 175$. You should definitely do that instead. I'm no crafter either, but all you have to do is sand it and spray paint it. I think there's even a thread here that tells you exactly what paint to use and how to apply it, so no guesswork necessary.

You're best bet on this is to contact Cruzer for a BKBT lid. They are $260 shipped in the states, made of coldcast fiberglass and very nice. You will have to cut out the visor portion, locate a t visor. But there are good tutorials to do that. The ear details are predrilled and come with attaching hardware. There are as stated other great buckets for less money, but def go with a CC so you only have to paint the blue....just my two cents.
I think I recognize that Jango helmet photo as being the stock Jango helmet photograph for Rubie's Costume Co. Jango helmets. I believe it is the rare (if they ever even released it at all???) fiberglass Jango helmet they had. Here's a description of it on Star Wars Helmets: Rubies Clone Trooper Helmet.
That fiberglass helmet stock photo was / is used by Rubie's and therefore wholesale customers (ie eBay sellers or other online retailers you would buy from) as the photo associated with the vinyl Jango helmet.
Buy the helmet based on that photo, open the package when it arrives and hear the "womp-womp" sad horn playing its mournful notes for you.
Another good example is the stock TIE Fighter Pilot helmet photo they use. The TIE Pilot vinyl helmets that you would receive a few years ago were nothing like the photo, and now they're even worse quality.
Plenty of good Jango helmet vendors mentioned by others above.
