General State of Jango paints FEB 2014

As far as the Rustoleum Royal Blue goes, I got mine from Amazon, just have to make sure it's the professional can. It sprays better than most standard paint nozzles. Got mine in February 2014.

So I put this together last night with the various blues I've been able to locate. I'm not sure why, but the Dark blue color BKBT gave for a mix comes out very green for me when put up against any other color. I mixed it twice because I thought I did something wrong, but it came out the same. The mix he gave for the mandibles looks really nice however.
Model Master True Blue almost disappears in the RustOleum Royal Blue, so it may be a viable replacement for those who cant find the Rustoleum. I forgot to put a spot for MM Blue angel, but it looks much like the Testors Sea Blue on the plates

Yes, to me I see green in the darker of the two "blues" & this was what I going for. I matched up using a couple of different toy resources & photo references & got to something that I am happy with. This is only my interpretation though & where I live I couldn't find RAL colors to compare.

Its a really funny color for sure. Up against the Royal Blue and Ocean Blue it looks really green, but looking at the mixing cup I used again it looks a perfect blue green; just like in the helmet photos you shared, lol. Just a perfect example of how the two blues play funny games when up against one another.

Painting the color splotches on the blue background will also affect the final color & that is why I sprayed my test on a white background. To be more precise, I should have sprayed them on grey primer as the basecoat always affects final top coat.
