starting Jango

I'm getting over my case of severe lazy epoxied the knee darts on then on my back plate cut out the slots and epoxied four layers of fiberglass cloth around the slots for reinforcement glueing the bolo cord on my girth belt and next end of the week i'll glue snaps to armor, snaps on boots and build my gauntlets i don't have a digi cam so no pics

I'm two cords shy of 21 sourcing the 7mm 4 ply has been difficult found some 6mm on ebay may go with that i don't think 1mm will be all that noticeable unless you have superman vision

More progress I've built my gauntlets ( just need to wire a battery box to the led ) and made my elastic straps for my lower armor pieces need to get my Flight Suit to my seamstress to hem the legs shorter make the button holes and redo the collar a bit

Small update armor boot spats are now attached getting those snaps on the boots was a bit of work. I might put some velcro on to keep the spats from shifting but as of now i'm satisfied with how they look :D

Took out my stubby jet pack ( 3rd owner of ) to take off the 2in quick clips from the old harness i bought a V.2 harness with 1 in clips from BKBT which was much better. I was the second buyer before stopped his sales thread as i was drilling out the rivets the back plate popped off which was a good thing the original 1in straps was attached inside the pack the plate was glued on with a liquid foam. First started using a razor blade slipped gave myself long cut we actually do sweat bleed and cry with this hobby  then used a dremel i got an idea started using a flat head screw driver like a chisel which worked the best reglued my plate on with CA glue.

What color stain i need to get for my girth belt i'm not going to get 5 different stains like cuzer did for 1 belt i just need something that's close enough thanks

Timber brown from Tandy leather worked great for me. You'll also want to get a sealer coat to lock the color in after the dye is dry.
The leather takes dye in varying amounts based on porosity so even one color doesn't look bad, as it absorbs at different rates. Also only so much of the girth belt shows anyway with most of it covered up by the ammo belt.

There isn't an exact ratio that I have found. I just increase the purple and some pearl gray until it looks about right. Then I wash it thoroughly let it dry then I spray it with about a 10% bleach solution for the weathering. As the bleach starts to act then I wash it again and repeat the processes until I get where I want to be.

When I start the bleach process I first spray the back so that if I mess up it won't be seen..........just fyi
