Some Progress Pictures Of My Stuff

Just thought that I would Share what I have been working on. Just finished my helmet, it has taken my about 10 months to get it done. The rangefinder can move if I push it. My blaster is a Rubies spray painted silver and chrome. I modified the trigger so it doesn’t move and added wire on the bottom like the stunt blaster. My jet packs are made out of foam board and cardboard. I use Styrofoam for the thrusters. I still need to get two nose cones for my stubby pack. The gauntlets are made out of cardboard and tape. I attached some fuel-line hose to them with screws. Just have to paint my jet packs, will have to wait till it warms up here though. Here are the pictures

dude great job on the backpacks.. they look nice for scratch builds.. the gauntlets can also look real good. all you gotta do is get some spray adhesive and glue posterboard over the tape. then all your sides will be smooth...it would improve them alot...you may end up with some tape over some seems or somthiing.. or just glue stick normal paper over the seems after you poster board it...

Yea it works great.. you may be able to use some on your backpack too.. ..like covering the stryrofoam engines..

On the styrofoam balls.. cote them in Elmers Glue All white Glue.. it will coat the styrofoam so they can be painted. better yet after coating them.. you can smooth them out using Elmers Wood putty.. its water soluable and easy to use.. dont buy the tub as it just dries out.. get the tube... ..if its dry and if you want it smoother before sanding you can wet sand it.. or while putting it on.. you can wet your finger to smooth it out...

Wow! I just got 'uh gander at your pics and man! I like the fact you created your own gauntlets and Jet pack! Too cool. I wish I had your patience. As far as the bucket? Man! Thats sweet too - - - however - - -I do not know if it is intentional - - -but there seems to be an area that could use some patching up with bondo (back of helmet) unless you want it that way. I realized with the helmet - - -that is a traveled road you take many times to perfect it . . .

Yes, I know. That is what I am going to fix next.

Still working on my jet packs. I have sanded down the bumps on my helmet and still need to apply a coat of bondo to it. It takes a while to do my jet packs because I have to let the glue dry before I put more on or it make a big mess.

I amire your craftsmanship. Nice paint job on the Rubies blaster. I have the same pair. Not Master Replicas either. They are expensive! Are you going to paint the gold areas in the barrel? I look forward to seeing the finsished product.
