I had not seen this posted yet and thought it really interesting when I read it. In the new Star Wars Insider #97 on page 65 it talks a bit about Jango's armor and jet pack.
Jet Pack-" Jango's jet pack is the exact same design and color scheme as the one worn by his son Boba in Return of the Jedi. Since the pack flies off and explodes during this fight Boba must inherit his father's spare."
Armor-"Initially, Jango Fett's armor was going to be white as a visual reminder that he is the forfather of the Imperial stormtroopers. When Lucas saw the armor in development, cast in faberglass and combined with aluminum powerder, he decided to leave it bare metal color." (aka..cold cast)
Thought this was interesting, hope you all do as well. I just thought it nice to have a few more small things 100% confirmed about the armor instead of just speculation.
