SirLars Jango Fett W.I.P.

Ok, here I am now with my own Jango Fett W.I.P.Thread. After doing a RotS Darth Vader and the finishing of
my RS Props ANH Stunt Stormtrooper last year, I decided on doing a Jango Fett. I especially like the Holsters with the
two Westars Blaster what reminded me of some Wild West Movies and Stuff. Also I think he is just Kick-Ass(althoug he got
asskicked in the Movie ^^). After reading and resourcing I started to collect the first pieces. Due to the fact that the Jango will
easily cost as much as my Vader, I planed a building time of about 2-3years ( I still have some other Hobbies so financial Resources
are the main Point for the Long period). So this will be a slow W.I.P. I guess. Let`s start:

Helmet:

I went for a RS Props Cold Cast Jango Fett Helmet Kit. It came with with everything you need: Visor, Ear, Hollow RF Stalk, Rangefinder,
Keyslots for the back of the Helmet and also the Black Pinstripe Tape.I started on trimming the Visor area and cut out the keyslots.
Did some smoothing on the edges of the helmet as well (still a bit to do). First Impression:

Updates on the helmet will follow as soon as I go on working on it. Next Packages arrived from Canada.
It contained the upper Chest Armor including Collar, Chest, Abs, the Diamond and the Shoulders. All done in
Cold Cast made by Cruzer. Additionally the package included a pair of Gloves too.

Thats the start into my Jango Fett Project so far. If you like to add some tips and hints, they are always welcome.
Regards Lars

Hey Guys. Im back with some small updates. After 4 month waiting time I finally recieved my crow62 Jango Boots. Im
glad they made it from Equador to Germany. Great Boots so far, fit perfectly and are quite comfortable.

I purchased some cheap Rubies Weststar Blasters and modified them a bit. I added some weight in the handles to make them heavier.

then I painted the Blasters Chrome/Silver and painted the details with Revell Color in a Gold tone. Screws added from stainless steel. Sound is still working.

For the Helmet, I ordered and recieved a wireless Remote Rangefinder Servo Kit. Still have to implent it
into the helmet. I ordered a Gauntlet Kit from Cruzer together with a friend of mine.
Cruzer has a few month of production time so I guess Gauntlets will be here around July (hopefully).
Im also on the waiting list for the Cold Cast Knees from DarkSide, but I have no Info when the run will
start. For the Flight Suit I contacted Arkady, still have to take the measurements for the Suit. Thats it so far.

Back again. Recieved my Arkady FlightSuit along with a Neckseal. Fits perfect and looks pretty good. I´ll post some pice later on. DarkSide put me on his list for knees and Metal Parts.
Finally Recieved my Cruzer Gauntlet Kit as well. Really nice pieces.

Follow cruzer's tutorial i discovered they were easier to put together than i thought i used epoxy after i discovered ca glue didn't hold so well on the glue on bits outside the shells

The gauntlets were easier to to put together than I thought they would be. The biggest key is that Cruzer makes such a beautiful product that I was scared to death that I would mess them up. But I have been trooping with Cruzer gauntlets for about 5 years now and they are absolutely perfect.

So. I found a little time to work on the Jango project again. I adapted the keyslots to the helmet. Unfortunatly the keyslot piece is a bit curved so it doesnt look
as it fits in perfect. It was the best I can do, so hope it still works.

Next I took some pics of the Flightsuit I recieved from Arkady (Big Thanks Carole, great work!). It looks huge, but it fits ;). Did some detail shots of the
sleeves with the Snaps for the hoses. Carole also did a nice and simple Neckseal to match the Flightsuit.

Next on my list is, polishing the helmet with steelwool and attach the Rangefinder with the Servo Kit to fit in the helmet. After that it will be painted. DarkSide´s parts are also finished and wil be shipped soon. After I recieve the metal parts, Im going to build the Gauntlets. That´s it for the moment. Lots of work to come.

Here we go again. Thanks to Praetorian for sending me a nice Set of Holsters made by Cruzer as well as a Cold Cast Cod Piece also done by Cruzer. I
love the Holsters, they make me feel like a cowboy. Already did some drawings in front of the mirror with the westar blasters :D.
I also bought the aluminium Leg, Shin and Foot armor for testing. Im not sure about the accuracy of the shape of the Leg and Shine armor? What do you guys think? Although
these are nice pieces I think im going to replace them with some Cold Cast parts in the future but for the moment they will do.

Those thighs are not even close to accurate. You can make them work, but I would tweak them a bit.

The cod and holsters are perfect though

Weekend, found some spare time to start steelwooling the knees and the helmet. I drilled the hole for the Rangefinder as well and did a test fit (nothing tightened yet):

Thanks for the hint Mullreel. I´ve got some Meguiars All Metal Polish laying around here, think Im going to give it a try.

Hey Guys. After polishing the helmet with steel wool I found a fellow 501st Member who did the paint job on the helmet for me as my
painting skills are not that good ^^. Big Thanks to KTM-Andi at this point. He used the original Tamiya Colours and I think it came out pretty well. I added the Rangefinder
stalk (90° moveable) and the mesh behind the keyslots. Next on the list is the Visor. I need to smoothen the inside area a little more to make the Visor fit tight to the helmet with no space
bewteen it. also started to glue the Knee Armor together. In the meantime I ordered the lower armor parts (shins, thighs and foot) in cold cast from Cruzer!
Here are some progress pics:
