Sintra -Where's a good place to get it?

I've spent loads of time searching for Sintra, and only hitting expensive dead ends. I'll get some help buying supplies from my Dad (he's getting armor, too), but I need to find a good source of Sintra to buy from. He's no more excited to spend a couple thousand bucks than I am. And I'm hoping to get armor for under $3000 each. We're building at least two suits.:p
Is Sintra the right material to use to get accurate armor? How thick?
Know of any places I can get a sheet of sintra for under $100? Where's a place to check for relatiively cheap prices? And how do I decide how big of sheets to get?
Oh, and where can I get TDH reference cds?

I just called every plastics place in the phone book asking about sheets of Sintra and how much they would cost, and picked it up in my van. I did have to buy a full 4'x8' sheet, but they cut it in half for me. If you get a place that only wants to sell to businesses, try telling them that you're only looking to use it for costuming, not signmaking, and it may work (it did for me).

Using the WOF templates, I've gotten two suits out of a 4'x4' sheet of Sintra, plus a number of extra pieces. I know that I could have gotten more out of it, but it was my first time working with the material and I wanted to leave some space in between pieces as a margin of error in case the knife slipped off the cutting line.

Tooclonecrazy are you one the dune sea garrison boards? Where exactly in AZ are you?

I can get 4x8 sheets of sintra here in Tucson for as cheap as $30ea.

I know there are a few places in the PHX area that sell it too!

I'm really close to Phx, in Peoria. And I'm on the 501st boards. :D Any help is appreciated. Where do I look? Where are these places you speak of?

And how about those reference cds? Where do I get them?
