Seriously.
Has anyone done this and pulled it off well? I am trying to make the majority of my armor from Sintra (Everything but the gauntlets and helmet) but this piece just confused me as to how it could be done.
I haven't ever seen a guide on here for such a thing, but if anyone knows of one, I'd appreciate a pointer to it. :)
Anyone got any tips, or better yet, examples?

If you follow my link, and scroll down to post number 7, you'll see the cod piece that I made. It's fairly simple to do, and has that 3D look that some scratch-built ones seem to lack.
