I've got a spare, completely untouched Sgt Fang Boba bucket. What's the feeling on being able to convert it over to a Jango?
Thanks

How much difference is there other than the dent? I think no matter what it's going to come down to personal preference. Does it really matter to you if it's a few millimeters off? Fill in the dent, do some painting and to 99.999999% of the world you have an exact duplicate of the Jango helmet. Go for it. Also, where in NC are you, I'm in Benson, about 1/2 hour from Raleigh.
The dent and the ear are the biggest factors... You can either chop the ear off, and add a new one, or add to it to give the illusion of a Jango ear. I have a Mystery Jango in the pics section. I just added to the existing ear. Also, if I remember right, the Fangs cheeks are rounded off.
Hope that helps. :)

Lets not forget that a Jango helmet has more of a "squinty" look to the visor area due to the opening extending further towards the ears. Basically, half the distance left on a Boba helmet. ;)
If you want to nit pick there are a ton of differences, but if you want an overall jango look rather than screen accurate then it is completely possible to convert a sgt fang, good luck!!!
I've seen it done before, they look pretty good :)
Thanks for all the input. I'm not overly worried about screen accuracy. This is just going to be a display helmet to go next to the Boba helmet. I'm afraid I don't understand the references to the ear. What is the difference between the Boba and the Jango? My major concern in the conversion is that from the pics I've got of Jango (and I don't have a lot yet) is that the Jango helmet seems to be a bit "thinner" or "straighter" than the Boba. (By that I mean, if you are looking straight at the helmet, the Jango is more rectangular and the Boba more triangular.) I hope that makes sense. What's the preferred colours for the Jango? I've read about the use of rub n buff, and I know the mandible/cheeks/ears are compromised of 2 shades of blue.
Oh, and does Jango have the little connector thingie on the the right cheek?
Thanks,
Charlie
No connecter on the cheek. Also, there is no wavey brow on the Jango.
The spraypaint colors are
Top-Krylon-Ocean blue
Bottom- Rustoleum-Royal blue
I couldn't find the Krylon Ocean blue so I used a Rustoleum- Sail Blue. It looks just as good.
No connector, but there is a little indention/hole there.
Check out this thread here about FP's screen cast helmet:

Hope this shot helps a little?
Look at the right ear-cap... the outer shell sits lower than the inner so that top and bottom 'mate' and the cheek mole is not there? ;)
