Well this might be old to some but I found a way to seal my rub n buff work without losing its sheen. Dunno if anyone ever tried to clearcoat you rnb but it causes it to change it color and dull it out. well check it out the knee on the bottom is sealed!

No more rnb rubbing off on your gloves, hands or flightsuit!!!!!!

Tell me what you think!!!

If you rub n buff correctly, it won't rub off in the first place. Usually the problem with rub n buff rubbing off is that you used too much or did not buff it enough.

No matter how it is done there is still a little residue and you can still leave fingerprints in it and it scratches fairly easy. I do agree if it is done correctly there is a far less chance of any of this but it still happens on occasion.

Anyhow the stuff is made by MINWAX and is called "water based polycrylic". It is expensive about $8 a can. You can find it with the wood stains. Simply spray it on. short quick bursts from about 12 inches away. It looks like Elmers glue at first but afetr an hour it dries clear and smooths out. If you are unhappy with your results get a damp microfiber towel and smooth it out.

I do not have that problem at all. I used to, but I started using less and I started finishing everything off with a buffing cloth (after using my hand) and I no longer leave fingerprints or have rnb rub off.

Sounds a lot like FUTURE FLOOR WAX- which is also a water-based acrylic clear finish... problem w/ FUTURE FLOOR WAX is that it just comes as a liquid in a big bottle... and you have to spray it using an airbrush... Sounds like the Minwax product comes in an aerosol can? That's pretty darn handy - if you ask me! Thanks for sharing the info firstsonofsolo - I'll be heading to my home depot to pick up a can or two... sound slike good stuff.

Thanks for the info.
I think sealing the whole rubnbuff is reay a good thing.
Everytime I wear my parts, I have to rebuff some areas (mostly the buddarea where the girls put their hands on me  .

Seriously, thanks for that info (y)

No problem guys Home Depot, Lowes and Wal-Mart all have the cans. There are a few different types just pay attention to which one!
