You are either single or have grown kids and an understanding wife. You are working fast.

    Looking good

Thanks guys....its been a blast doing this costume...just wanna make every one on TDH proud with it.

Just got confirmation that my knees and darts shipped. I will be buying blasters, leather and braided bolos next month. All I need now are boots....damnable boots.

So I got my bolos and am going to Tandy Leather to get everything else I need for a girth belt and ammo pouch belt. 2 questions:
What color dye should I use, or does everyone prefer?
What is the best way to dye the bolos? Should I daub it on or submerge the bolos in dye?

If you are looking to buy one TLobe00 makes a really good one right now for a very reasonable price. I got one on his first run and I am very pleased with it . It makes a good match with Seekers ammo belts too.

Okay so I finally made more progress...but have only a few pics...Armor is all set and on the soft goods, shins and knees are completed and attached, and gauntlets are completed hoses attached and clips attached to the hoses.

I used snaps to attach the armor...seems to hold pretty well.

Boots should be here Monday, Balaclava to dye and blasters some time this week.

Let me know what you think.

Thats looking good. The weathering on the knees looks good. One thing I do notice though is the right ear is set high in the Boba fashion as opposed to low like Jango's.

How stressful was it poking holes in that nice leather vest?

I never noticed the right ear...any solutions for a fix...

Yeah the punching holes in the leather sorted sucked...I think my wife was more stressed since she is the one who sized it up and aligned the snaps for me.

    EDIT:

Mullreel....Thanks for pointing out the ear error...not sure how I missed it...any who after a little stressful repairs to the ear and some creative citadel paint mixing I was able to fix the ear.

Glad it wasn't too difficult of a fix. I am actually suprised that I or someone else didn't notice it or mention it in the earlier pics of your helmet. I scrolled up to make sure that it was the same in the earlier pics because I have been watching this WIP thread since you started.

Your kit really is looking good.

Got the boots and balaclava today...started working on modifying the boots to be a bit more accurate ( still not perfect but I can't find anything else) Gonna dye the balaclava tomorrow the same base as the flightsuit was originally and than dye it again on Wed. the purplish blue ( blurple) to match the jumpsuit. Boots will be continued to be modified tomorrow and should be done Wed or Thursday.

They are Ridge Footwear AirTech boots. Here is the link: Ridge 8" Air Tac Side-Zip Boot, Men's Footwear, Ridge at Sportsman's Guide I used JB weld to fill in the soles where the silver will go. Did not come out as good as I hoped...just need to do another skim job.

Hey I have an old pair of those in the closet, never thought about using them but they should work. Mine are pretty worn out as they saw a lot of action but I may see if I can make em work for awhile.

They look great. I bought a set of GBX which have a great sole but I'm not too happy with the ridged seams on the toe caps.
