SandySith's Jango Progress

doesnt really have a drying time. Just need to rub the heck out of it with your hand and generate some heat to "seal" it. I would quickly tape off the blue at the edge along the cheek and dust in some more of that ocean blue to minimize the mistake. I think you'll kick yourself later and it will be a lot harder once the visor is in. Another small suggestion, I think it really helps the overall look of the helmet, use the more accurate 3/32" black striping tape instead of the 1/8". It usually has to be ordered, I found it on ebay for a couple bucks.

Looks like an awesome build so far. I have most of the same parts as you and I'm not too far behind. I was a bit unsure of the purpleness of the flightsuit until I saw the re-lit pic. I'm also stuck for boots and trying to go down the GBX route without much success. I'm a US10.5 if anybody has any for sale.

Okay here are pics of my jetpack and helmet with thinner pin striping.

Thanks guys....its been a blast doing this costume...just wanna make every one on TDH proud with it.

Just got confirmation that my knees and darts shipped. I will be buying blasters, leather and braided bolos next month. All I need now are boots....damnable boots.

So I got my bolos and am going to Tandy Leather to get everything else I need for a girth belt and ammo pouch belt. 2 questions:
What color dye should I use, or does everyone prefer?
What is the best way to dye the bolos? Should I daub it on or submerge the bolos in dye?

Okay so I finally made more progress...but have only a few pics...Armor is all set and on the soft goods, shins and knees are completed and attached, and gauntlets are completed hoses attached and clips attached to the hoses.

I used snaps to attach the armor...seems to hold pretty well.

Boots should be here Monday, Balaclava to dye and blasters some time this week.

Let me know what you think.

Thats looking good. The weathering on the knees looks good. One thing I do notice though is the right ear is set high in the Boba fashion as opposed to low like Jango's.

How stressful was it poking holes in that nice leather vest?

I never noticed the right ear...any solutions for a fix...

Yeah the punching holes in the leather sorted sucked...I think my wife was more stressed since she is the one who sized it up and aligned the snaps for me.

EDIT:

Mullreel....Thanks for pointing out the ear error...not sure how I missed it...any who after a little stressful repairs to the ear and some creative citadel paint mixing I was able to fix the ear.

Glad it wasn't too difficult of a fix. I am actually suprised that I or someone else didn't notice it or mention it in the earlier pics of your helmet. I scrolled up to make sure that it was the same in the earlier pics because I have been watching this WIP thread since you started.

Your kit really is looking good.
