Hi all. Well after driving to all the local hardware stores & craft stores looking for a can of Rustoleum Federal Blue #7725, the guy at Lowe's tells me that the color has been discontinued & to try rustoleums website. Well I serached for it & I can't find it on their site either! I am expecting my MLC arena JP any day now. I have the rub n' buff & Krylon Regal Blue (thanks Seeker for the reference on your site) I just need a can of the federal blue. Does anyone have an extra can that I can purchase from? Not sure what to do. Any help will be appreciated.

I used rustoleum royal blue and sail blue cuz I couldn't find krylon ocean blue at HD or lowes until after I painted the helmet when I went to ace hardware for chicago screws. its in a tiny arts and crafts can next to the regular spray paint.

I used Valspar "Mediterranean blue" after I couldn't find any of the Fed.

This is a pretty old thread now, does anyone have any updated paints for this replacement? I've been to all my Home Depot, Lowes, Micheals, and other craft stores and haven't had luck with anything besides the Rub n Buff.

i can still find the royal blue at ace, true value, and walmart. and i know both my local ace's carry the ocean blue; i believe hobby lobby also has the ocean blue.

Speaking of the krylon and rustoleum, any problems with them interacting bad with each other due to the different brands?

I have only had problems when the heat is high and I am in a hurry. If you can take your time so that they dry completely the reactions are very minimal.

I buy my Oceans Blue from here (it's towards the bottom of the list)...

To be on the safe side, I wait 1 week between blue coats to decrease the chances of tape indentations remaining on my first Royal Blue coat. The prolonged dry time also helps prevent any negative reaction (i.e. wrinkling) between the two different paint manufacturers.
