Quick help for first time costume builder

New Hunter
After spending the past few days researching, I havent come to a final conclusion on what I am doing. I do have some of it worked out though.

However, whats the best idea for a vest for jango? How have some of you done yours?
I found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/MANDALORIAN-BOUNTY-HUNTER-VEST-Custom-Boba-Jango-Fett-/380280744558?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588a7faa6e

Also, on armor, I was going to do 2 layer "cardboard" but some have frowned upon this....whats your lower cost solution; foamex?

Is buying 2 boiler jumpsuits off ebay and just cutting the sleeves off the one and putting it over the other make for a good suit? If not where did you get yours?

Cheap belt and holsters?

Any tips for a first timer?

I think you are on the right track: BE CREATIVE! Trash Can Armor, using Wizard of Flight's templates would probably be your best bet. I've seen some STUNNING stuff, and with some heat, it's easily shaped. Regarding a vest, I originally bout a Western Vest Template, some Dark Grey Pleather from JOANN....then taught myself to sew! It actually came out OK, but I was more proud that I DID IT MYSELF!!!! The jumpsuit, I've also thought about the 'Buy 2, Scrap 1' approach; however, I ended up finding someone with an extra. The Girth Belt: 1/4" nylon rope from Home Depot painted Brown, glued to some brown pleather. Prep/glue it over something round (barrel) so it sets in the proper shape. Holsters.....YIKES!! Outta my league. But, there are some UNBELIEVABLY TALENTED & CREATIVE people here on TDH; I'm sure someone will chime in. If not, look on ETSY or PINTEREST!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Here is my WIP Thread. It goes over the VEST and the GIRTH. Hope it helps....
