I'd definitely be interested! I'm 6' 2"; 220 lbs; 36" waist; 16.5" neck; jacket size: 50" athletic; chest size: 43". But here is probably where I'll get snake bit for the flight suit: 26" thighs, 18" calves.

Well, I was wanting it black for my custom.

With it being over $75, I might be out, but we'll see what happens.

Well I'm roughly 6 ft 1 and between 212 to 225 depending upon time of year etc. If you will be using a dark grey leather, that would be perfect for my custom as my armor and flightsuit beneath are dark grey. I've been searching for a quality craftsman to make a nice vest for me, hopefully at a mutually fair and reasonable price. What do you think, would you be able to create one for me-with some more specific measurements of course. Just let me know when you've nailed down a price for the vest and shipping.

Oh, I'm not certain where you purchase your leather, but I met a wholesaler who sells many different types of leather, furs, and pelts of different grades. If you'd like to check their site out I can PM it to you, or anyone else as well. Just let me know.

I'm 5' 8"; 235 lbs; 40" waist; 17" neck; jacket size: 50" athletic; chest size: 45". But here is probably where I'll get snake bit for the flight suit: 26" thighs, 18" calves.

Re: POSSIBLE JANGO VEST & FLIGHT SUIT RUN!

    Your stuff looks AWESOME!

I am interested in the vest and possibly the suit too.

I have one curiosity question about the closures based on the following photos. I wonder if the closure could be made a little more like this:

I'm guessing there is a similiar partial closure underneath the left arm?
I know.. silly questions. I haven't spent as much time researching the jango as I did the zam, scout, etc.

    My measurements are:
    Height: 6'
    Weight: 180 lbs
    Chest: 42"
    Waist: 35"
    Neck: 16"

    thanks

I thought so myself. I wonder if you got a different jumpsuit as well, and discovered the hard way it didn't fit around your muscles. Anyway, similar physiques could encourage a good run. I have the same problem in all my other armors...

I'm new to the boards, and have been out of town. I just saw your possible run of suits and vests. If it's not too late, I'd love one of each! These are the pieces I'm missing for my Jango outfit!! I am 5'11" 170 pounds, 42" chest, 15 1/2" neck, 31" waist, so I'm pretty close to your measurements, close enough to make it work, at least. Thank you VERY MUCH!! PM sent, too.

Uh, I don't think anyone was expecting a free or even dirt cheap vest. No need to get so defensive. Nobody is questioning your accuracy or your pricing. We all appreciate the work you put into your personal project and the work you are going to do for other members. Just because its out of the budget for some people does not mean those people were expecting a dirt cheap vest.

Re: POSSIBLE JANGO VEST & FLIGHT SUIT RUN!

Fellers, hold up a sec. I think all GBH is saying is that because so many people showed interest in this run, it looked like he was going to be able to do it. Now that people are posting that they're backing out, it's just really upsetting to him (if anybody's ever sold anything, it's the same feeling ya get when the buyer backs out after a few weeks of saying he/she is gonna pay.)

The vest is all leather ... I don't think I have to state that it is an expensive material (GBH ... I sure hope ya didn't drop a couple thousand in advance on materials and are now stuck with it.) And as I've been told, sewing it, trimming it, etc. is not a cheap process due to the materials required.

GBH said he needed 15 people ... probably to keep the cost down (i.e. buying material in bulk.) I find it VERY hard to believe that GBH is tryin' to make $100 off each sale ... the prices are probably darn near the best he can do.

Re: POSSIBLE JANGO VEST & FLIGHT SUIT RUN!

I understand where GBH might feel a little upset. It can be discouraging. I've been there

The price does seem a little high for the vest to me at first glance but I understand how much work goes into an all leather item and I can respect the cost of materials and labor. If you do it yourself you probably won't do it again and would try to find someone to do it for you. I've seen other jackets and vests go for a lot more ... like a Mal coat for $500 or a rocketeer jacket for $500 plus.

I'm still interested but I need to see if I can generate the funds and be able to commit.

The shoulder closure still looks a little different to me. Yours looks like it opens all the way and overlaps completely while the original looks like it only opens part of the way and is stitched closed at the outer end.

I still like how yours looks but that is one thing I noticed ??

How does one add stiffness to the jango flak vest? I see alot of fan made ones, that are either too thin, or made out of too soft a material. in watching the movie, and looking at screen shots, I can tell the flak vest is semi rigid.

This would help to hold the armor in place as well. kind of like an old harley riding jacket in thickness, and rigidity.

    Sorry Guys,
I talked to GBH and it looks like this Run is officially canceled.

The powers that be, and mainly Negative feedback from certain members, either posted or in PM, left a "bad taste"....... (that's really all I'm allowed to say)

It's unfortunate either way because this was something that allot of board members, like me, were waiting for...."Screen Accruate", ........This SUX.

If people are "bad apples" because they can't afford $345 then this board has officially lost it.

Well if you can't afford it that's one thing, and I for one understand that....and actually I think this run wasn't meant for you if that was the case, no offense....

LETS BE CLEAR...."negative feedback" is what ended this run......and that is completely different, in my opinion.
It was clearly stated what the cost break down was for each item would be...and what was going to be used to get as "Screen Accurate" as possible that drove those costs.......but to be negative about it because you can't afford it is uncalled for .........ON BOTH SIDES.

Re: POSSIBLE JANGO VEST & FLIGHT SUIT RUN!

    I really dont understand...

People can say whatever they want... who cares... if you were in the interested list before the price was marked... and then when the price was settled, you cant afford it... mate, you simply have to say: "too much for me, I'm out"... and nothing happens...

BUT, in case some guy were ofensive... WHO CARES... This is the price... get it or NOT !!!

I was one of the INTERESTED, I also thought the price of the vest could be a little high BUT, I also think that was GREAT quelity and accurate.. AND THAT HAS IT PRICE...

I can choose... GET IT, OR NOT !!! That's my chose... NOBODY will force me to buy it... so I dont understand people who can say anythign negative about GBH...

I really would like that GBH would rethink about it... Who cares what people say... what it really MUST to cares is all of US who were really INTERESTED in get it FOR THAT PRICE !!! those who were in the FINAL LIST !!!

C'mon mate, think about it, do that AMAZING RUN and shut up the rest...

    Please !

Re: POSSIBLE JANGO VEST & FLIGHT SUIT RUN!

I don't really see any negative feedback posts. Just people saying they can't afford it. There are no posts saying "you're overcharging" or "that's a ridiculous price." Some people said the price was too high for them but nobody is really price bashing here. If the PM's are highly negative, that needs to be stated and not left unsaid throwing us on a more limited budget into the fire.

Wait I'm confused??? you already said you couldn't afford it.....and that was way before the run was canceled??.....so I'm not sure why you are still posting in regards to Costs.......???? You weren't on the list once the price was set....???? Sorry if that sounds rude...
BUT I think at this point I should only respond to those that were acctually on the list........as those are the ones that will be effected by the cancelation...

and Benkenove, I am still trying to convince GBH to come back and do this run....as my goal in this is just to help get this off the ground, and plus I talk to him almost everyday... .....

Ok mate, thanks for your answer...

I think he should rethink about it... the only people who get DAMAGES abuot this are WE, who were in the list... and HIMSELF... Not the people who dont want it, or the people who complaint about it via PMs...

So please, GBH HELP US .

No No, that might have been the reason in the begining because so many people canceled once they saw the price, and he needed a certain amount to make it happen, but GBH had already moved past that and apologized for that.......BUT that was NOT the reason for the cancelation..........I Promise.
