Thanks a bunch for the info I'll look into it, but do any of you know where I can find the material to make the flak vest? I've looked everywhere for the faux and even real leather but i can't seem to find any.

Fake leathers (usually vinyl) are available at almost ANY fabric store. I'd name some examples, but I guess it depends on where you're located. Real leather is harder to come across in everyday stores, but you're looking for garment leathers, usually cowhide or pigskin. Again, it depends on your location, but you might be able to find a Tandy Leather or Leather Factory in your area. They're the same company, so they should be able to order and carry the same stock. Hope that helps!

I'm sure this has already been settled, but what I did was take a t-shirt that fit a little snug. Then I cut it apart, making four pieces, front, back and sleeves. I then modified the sleeves to look like they would work. Then I cut the pieces out of the material and sewed them together. For the back I made two pieces, basically so they would overlap and velcro could be added so that it would stay secure. No one sees it because of the back armor.

I am looking to purchase a vest for my Jango costume. I know absolutely nothing about sewing, etc so it is kind of out of the question to make it myself. Anyone making them and interested in selling me one?? PM me with info please! Would be very greatful!!

Thanks.
