Hey GATER. Your boots look cool. How did you get that silver stripe effect on the soles? It looks excellent. I've noticed the original pic of the shoe on the Finish Line site doesn't have the silver stripe. And at that price I think I'll buy me a pair. Thanks.
I taped of the shoes with masking tape and printed out a reference pic of Jango's boots to use as a guide. I just eyeballed it and masked it off to where i thought it looked good. Then I used some silver spray paint, krylon metallic I think, and sprayed it on. It's all good.

    Thanks for the info GATER.

I just ordered my GBX Extreme Mid today at Finish Line today. Jason said it will take 10 business days & my shoes will be shipped to me. I can't wait until I get mine.

Have we been able to find who makes that sole from the kc and prada boots. Now i know prada shoes are manufactured in italy but i don't know if they get their soles from another manufacturer. Anybody have any ideas on finding out where these soles are made and who makes them? I been scouring the web for sole manufacturers but have not found a match yet. Close but no matches.

One of the security guards at my work has a catalod from a company called GALLS. The sell law inforcement supplies. Anyway they have a whole section of boots that look pretty darn good for Jango. Better yet, most of them are under a hundred bucks! I already have a pair of KCs with the correct sole, but I thought this might help someone else. I'll try to get the catalog & scan some pics.

I got some boots that kind of resemble the Jango Kenneth Cole's at Roses for $5, and so I modified them to make the sole look similar. The company was called RIKOWAY, if that helps.

    I'll produce pictures soon.

so for all of us who are currently working on our jangos, this thread as with most others has gone dead, the links are dead, most pics are dead, and every last pair of shoes is unavailable LOL! I'm looking high and low for anything that'll work, and will post info here if/ when I come across it. are there others doing the same? I hope so

    ..thx uri

    @abntroop

..yes i ordered these boots from starfortress.
about his bad business.... all i can say is that i ordered only the boots and knee armor. i am very satisfied with the knee armor.
the boots are okay! for a first jango version! my only problem is the right position and wearing for the lower leg armor. i would like to wear it closer to the leg
    here r some pics!

    about his nightmare storys....
well i think everybody should take time for exact thoughts. cause there are costume parts who are not easy to create. but others who are maybe available in stores or ebay etc.
anyway you should only have an open eye

A pair of Kenneth Cole pit crews sold on ebay a week ago for $20. They were size 11. I told one person here on the boards about them but they were the wrong size so I figured someone else here on the boards got them. They turn up, you just never know when.

yeah, that heel aint bad, but the rest of the boot is ***. alot of cash to spend to turn around and rip em apart. I keep running into that kind of thing alot. I really don't want to make my own boots, thats just inviting disaster, and if I'm gonna get a pair of custom boots made and fork out a small fortune I'd just as soon leave it up to them. to run into this kinda snag is just pissin me off at this point. I guess I'll have to settle for somethin else for now until god willing I come across something sooner or later. I can't believe for as many folks as are on these boards, that we havent approched like CA boots to make some. they do boba, TK's, TB's, and clones. why not jangos?

I don't know...once you dye them black, put the armor on and the pant legs over them you might not notice the rest of the boot.

But they are kinda expensive for a "OK" boot.

Keep watching eBay, something will turn up.
