newbie needs help from the sratch ...

Hello everybody!
I finally got the bucks to effort a, hopefully, as movie accurate as possible, Jango Fett Costume. A friend of mine is a professional painter, he's done excellent work on my Rubies Darth Helmet. (ESB Style) So only kits are requiered. I know what I want, but don't have a hell of a clue, where to get it. So who is willing to explain to a newbie where to start?? After reading some threads, meesetinkin, the shoes might be a problem, but anyway help would be much apreciated.
