Started PM'ing people on the list to make sure they are still in for the run and some people are still in, some people are only now letting me know that they want out and some people are asking for the price. I know that this project has taken a long time because of flaky bootmakers and that's why a couple months ago I said that if you wanted out the list just to let me know. And the price range has been posted on post #1 since the sign up thread started.

So what I am going to do is start a new sign up thread so that I don't order boots for people that forgot to let me know that they don't want them anymore. And so that I don't have to pm they rest of the people. If you were on the last list and don't want them anymore but forgot to tell me, don't worry. You don't have to let me know anymore.

They price range is still the same. $230-$265 for accurate Pit Crew replicas, Barc trooper and Galactic Marines boots

prototypes have come in. I will get some pics as soon as I can as they are not picture ready. They are pretty rough right now because after they were done with them they ripped the sole back off to use it for the next prototype. So I had them temporally put it back on, but the glue residue is still present. Also the fabric is not the right one and its a bit dirty. The final boots will be clean. I have to clean them up so that I can take some good pics.

Keep in mind that they the previous maker lost my patterns and new ones had to be made so the patterns are not that accurate at the moment but then next ones will be updated. Some of the things I changed in this new boots is the toe, it is shorter and I had them eliminate the sponge on the top trim that the v1 had.

I know that the sole wasnt accurate on the last pair and the ankle cloth area that wen up to the zipper was to wide.

These will be updated to be a little more accurate. I don't know if you remember I posted that the old boot maker lost my patterns for the boots. I since then have made a new pattern and a new boot maker.

-I have no choice for the soles as they are the only ones available.

-The ankle area fits better and the the top trim will not have the cushion anymore.

-The heal piece will be more accurate.

-The fabric will also be more accurate.

I was hoping for an improved protype today but the guys have come to some delays and will need another week. They said it will be done on tuesday 8-19. So hopefully, the run will start soon.

Ok, its been a couple weeks since I was supposed get the boots. They were backed up on their normal boots so they didn't get around to making them when they said they would.

So I talked to them again today and they said that they will have it ready for me this week. I will post pics update the list as soon as I can.

This prototype stage is the worst part of the deal. The bootmakers take their time and sometimes put you off for weeks. But once the run starts its all good. They make their deadlines because they if they don't they lose money.

Here's the new prototype. Looking better already. I still need a couple of more tweaks but I think its about done. These minor details will be done when the run starts. This boot is using the correct fabric. Just imagine these in white for the trooper boots.

Looks more like a problem w/ muscular calves... I have a pair of reinone Jango boots from the first run - which had the same 'problem'... the opening on top is just really on the snug side... I mean, it's fine on my skinny-legs-fancy-boy-mannequin...

BUT, for those out there who want to wear these boots - I would ask reinone to strongly consider, making that shaft/opening just a little wider/bigger... especially since it cinches on top any way, to accommodate all those chicken-legged guys out there... Good call on eliminating the the spongy padding under the leather trim on the top BTW...

Overall - just like the first run... these look absolutely beautiful again! I'm still in for a size 9 [currently, I've got a pair of size 11s on my 5'8" mannequin... and he just looks too much like one of those manga-characters w/ the big, square feet/shoes]. Great work, reinone - keep 'em coming!

So what type of material is the cloth part?

Well I picked that fabric up several months ago and I can't remeber the name. It is waterproof and is used for trenchcoats, armyboots, and even tarps. Just with the fabric alone, these boot will be way better than the first boots.

The boots in the pic are worn by my cousin, and he has large calves. They look tight on him but he says they are quit comfortable. I made them 1" wider at the top than the first boots and excluded the batting so they are a lot better than the old ones. I have small calves so I don't know how they how tight they can be, but like I said he has large calves and they fit him fine. I can go with another 1" at the top but its up to you guys.

I am hoping to order the boots soon. So be prepared in this coming week to make the payment.

****, those are gorgeous. Like everyone else though, I'd say widen the tops a little bit. I play soccer, and my calves are quite big. They fit in standard boots normally, but...my ankle is about 14", and widens to about 19" around the muscle. Not asking for customized boots, just that the opening is wide enough for a bigger guy's calves. As it can be cinched down =)

Yeah, from what I remember they are a little bit larger. I tell people to round up just to make sure. I wear a size 10 but can squeeze into a size 9. Its a little snug but am sure if I wear them more I can break them in.

Hey, guys. I have been away from my computer all day today.

The price for the boots is $250 plus $17 shipping for US and a little extra for International. I few have sent me pm's about shipping quotes and I will get them asap. This is what needs to take place in the coming weeks. The run will not start until we have all the materials needed for the boots. The soles will be ordered on the 9/29 and the fabric and leather has already been ordered. The soles will take about 4-5 days. Once we have all the materials the boots will get started and it will take 3-4 weeks to complete the order. Then they will be shipped to me and I will then start shipping them to you. I need to collect the money this week so that I have everything ready for the boot maker to start them. So If am able to get the soles on time the run will start on the week of the 10/6. If I can get the soles sooner that will be great, and maybe we can get them for halloween. But if worse comes to worse it will be the first week of November.

Yeah, it messes things up. I can't back down from the quantity I told the boot maker so I will have to hold on to them untill I can sell them later.

I take both. Some people do not have paypal so I leave the money order option for them. For the type of money orders I only accept Postal Money Orders because they are the best and it protect both of us.
