Now you stated the boots will be completed and received by March 20th. That's 10 days from now. You last logged in in early Feb...but with no updates or pm responses.
All are we asking is a response from you and by not responding makes us questionable. If this project has fallen through please advise us or refund all payments made to you by our TDH members. Otherwise I will have no choice to investigate as many complaints been reported to me.
I hope we can still resolve this and count on your word that the boots will be shipped as u stated without further delays.

small claims heck. this appear to be a large amount of money over state lines. The guys who are really damaged should go more then civil. If people are going to take someone money, then they are responsible for it. Maybe on large projects an escrow type of account should be used so no one can get into trouble. People should know who the main supplier is, and be able to go to them if communication fails like this.
Now lets get some answers and some boot for those who want them. I am talking to a boot maker if this fails. he is willing to do them, not cheep but cusotm quaility. But I would need Kenneth cole reaction boots, soles for samples sent to him or a casting of them. If any one is willing to cast some sets in different sizes I will pay for it.
I for one cannot even look at another direction for boots until I get my money refunded. At the very least we should of had some kind of response by this time. I am certain that due to a lack of contact that these boots are not going to be arriving on anyones doorstep!!

Have sent in for refund. Have waited WAY TOO LONG on this. With no response from paul I think it is time to get my money back.

Note I have had something like this happen to me before seller knew the Paypal system and dragged out the time. You cna push Paypal call as a group, You have been charged for items not received. You will have to push them hard. keep going above and above. You will get your money. even after the 45 days. with the way the items run the 45 day guide line can never be met and they know it. PAypal gave me the run around teliing to go to my local Police Dept. The Police told PP they are not PP collection agency and the PP tone changed.
Good Luck to the guys who got ripped off. I hope if this is not fixed there should be some kind of permant removal and legal action. Anybody can get in trouble but not setting up and letting everybody know what is happen is acceptable. just my opinion
I do have Reinone's personal information which includes his full name, names of possible relatives, recent residential addresses, as well as multiple phone numbers; and will turn over all the information I have ONLY to the admins at their request.:doh

i called paypal this morning. they said file a dispute with reinone. it only opens a dialogue but still freezes his account. interesting if we push paypal they would intervene. i am going to call my visa next. i knew better than to use my checking. the paypal lady also gave me a web site to file a complaint against reinone. ic3.gov. fbi involvement, of course this is small time. but im cool with that, the more burden he will carry AND DESERVE!
It is sad to see this boot run go toxic, but we have all been patient.
Its one thing to experience personal problems, and Im sure we all feel for Paul, but its another thing to drop-out & take our cash with him.
I was sure he would eventually come through for us, but at this stage his lack of contact at best shows he is not capable of running the project & at worst makes him a thief.
I'm thinking of having a SDPD do a welfare check on him first and see if he still lives at that current location address I have and they SDPD retreived. My understanding he might go under a different name as well. Then possibly go for criminal action towards him as well. This has gone to far already.
I filed a complaint last week against his PayPal account but since it was over 45 days it was only a heads up. I believe it was that ic3.gov website that I've used before for a fraudulent sale but I never heard a thing from them after the complaint was filed. Maybe if we filed a joint complaint with them, it might be looked into since it was close to $7k taken. A lot of information needs to be submitted for them to even look at it I believe.
I serious about pushing them I got ripped off the LAdy In London she said she was high in UK 501. I emailed her CO and as she said nothing was done. Paypal left me hanging I had 30 emails showing where the woman was a liar. PayPal want the Sheriff Dept to Certify the Emails. Which is impossible and they knew it they were just making jump threw hopps. THE deputy sat and listen the everytime on speaker phone and told them he was not their collection dept. THey were just jerking me around and need to refund my money what they were asking the Sheriff office to do was impossible. After the deputy maid his point he was asked by PP to leave and they asked what I want to settle the problem and they did.
I tell you guys the story just so you can see what it takes. THese are the hard facts you paid for an item you did not receive period. Hope this helps
just got off the phone with paypal & told them of the situation. they say if all of us who have paid with paypal file claims against him they will get working with us regardless of the 45 day limit as there are so many people and so much money changing hands.

Dispute filed, but PP said that this type of transaction isn't covered by their dispute resolution system. Maybe b/c it's outside of the 45 days.
the guy i talked to said the same thing till i told him 25 or so ppl were involved in this & he said paypal will get on board if we all file disputes

I have allready filed a claim with paypal. I would have loved to get the boots but it is all ready too late in my book. I understand personal problems but this is too much with no contact for a while and nothing but bs when we do get some response.
here is a thought: reinone either
A-Paid full amount collected by us to boot maker to make all boots that the interest list provided and has no money left. Thus awaiting to sell to those that didnt pay to have money to ship out boots to all of us.
B-Paid half to boot maker and waited to pay rest when order was filled. Had money problems, used what was left over to help pay rent or whatever.
C-Paid like A or B and got screwed by boot maker.
there are many ideas as to what is going on or happened. dont get me wrong, i want the boots too.
as far as the paypal complaint, you can file the complaint but paypal wont intervene to pay back the party that payed at the end of the 45 day mark when a dispute is not resolved in the time frame. the complaint will stand.
if you decide to wait thinking he may still come through, terrific. hell, if he refunded me and others, then said i have the boots a month later, he can send me my pair then i would pay him. i have no problem with that. however i do not fully trust him.
he just needs to man up again.

i am also filing a claim as we speak...im pretty PO'd for this whole thing...ive had enough of waiting for him and giving himj chances..i could use the cash elsewhere! i think everyone should overload paypal with claims so we can get this thing going...also..he should be banned from thsi forum and not allowed to do business in here anymore...i personally really dont care what his issues or problems are...i am not the welfare department and i have my own problems.

"I paid for a pair of boots on October 14, 2008 for a mass order involving approximately twenty or more individuals that was taken by Vicente Paul Mejia. As of today, Monday, March 30, 2009, I have not received any boots, nor have any of the other individuals involved in the mass order. In addition, Vicente Mejia has failed to communicate with any of us and myself via email and phone messages. Thank you"

Did anyone else get this message? PayPal did not send me any emails letting me know they closed the claim, I had to check the Resolution Center and put in my claim # to get the information above. What PayPal did send me was a survey asking how my experience with PayPal has been! "Are U Kidding Me?
I will again make an attempt to contact PayPal via phone and explain our experience with this. We all must make sure we are all in the same page otherwise and contact paypal to resolve this issue.

Yep - same here... had to go to my paypal account and dig for the claim in the dispute/history area... my claim too was closed the moment I filed it... I am planning to call them on the weekend and try to have them open up the dispute again (since there are about 25 people involved and at total of $6,000+ maybe they'll make an effort)... chances are probably pretty slim though... the whole thing is just sad...
When I read this I checked and my account said the same thing...so I called them...
Here is what they said....
all the claims are noted against the seller but because they were past the 45 days they immediately are placed into defferment. I asked them what that meant and she said the seller has been flagged and they will pay attention to see if any other claims come in. She also said she could not determine if we would get our money back but it wasnt out of the question. They would filed charges against the seller and take it from there. She also indicated that they reseach and watch this stuff and the claims remain under advisement for 180 days from the time they are filed even if it says closed on your account.
My suggestion is to call. I told them the whole story and advised them there were numerous other people out of cash for the same sale of the same product. I explained the situation and she said she would not it on my account. I think everyone should take a minute and call and get this noted on there own account as well to tie everything together and allow paypal to see the seriousness of the infraction.
I just got off the phone with PayPal and advised them our situation. At first they tried to give me the run arounds and stated my case has been closed due to the 45 day deadline. I advised them of there incompetency in regards to making an effort in contacting me of this close case and even have the nerve to send me a survey.
Once I stated who I work for and what I do.....The agent suddently changed her tone of voice and politely stated "They will look in to it" and for me not to worry what my claim states. It will still be open and investigated by there file department even though my claim states is closed in my account. I advised her if she checked her records...that I'm not the only one who had filed this claim towards him and for the same amont of money...."There has been at least 20+ of us who had filed" and this is a serious matter and action must be taken accordingly. She states that they will try to keep me up to date via email and let me know the status for possible reimbursement. They will also to pursue/INVESTIGATE and contact Mr. Mejia.
I encourage all members who had not filed a claim with PayPal yet to do so ASAP before it's to late. They will questioned you why u didn't filed with the rest of us who had.

Otherwise they will think we don't care......and they could careless in refunding your payment.

mine still says pending but i talked with a specialist in paypal claims and that associate filed mine on the phone.
guys, i know we are all frustrated but lets not tick off paypal. not yet at least.
i for one am tired at the last 5 members dragging their feet. i say if those guys dont post here either way in the next few days or so, we move forward without them. all of them checked in within the last month. one was yesterday.
as far as what do we do next because i dont see paypal helping out, credit card companies have claims also, some are fdic. second, i will personally file a lien against him. what does that mean, collections steps in, he cant sell a home, buy or sell a car, ask for a credit card, file taxes and receive a refund, win the lottery or a settlement, etc. until this is cleared. my group has a lawyer and when we have patients that dont pay we send them to collections and they put a lien against them. sometimes they take a year but in the end they pay.
i am not worried, this just takes time.
I just filled out Paypal's customer survey and gave them very very bad marks for how they have handled this situation thus far. I'm hoping my comments and ratings perk someone's attention over there.

I contacted my credit card company which is what form of payment I used on PayPal. They said they can help me get my money back if I send them all the info. The letter I recieved from them looked more promising than the responses from PayPal. I suggest everyone who used a credit card through PayPal to contact them. There is a limit on how soon you can file a claim with a CC company. They request 30 days from the time you made the payment for the seller to send the service or product. So those of you that paid more recently might have to wait a bit or wait from PayPal to make their decision.

I didn't appreciate the comment about 'dragging my feet' I have been silent because I am still very new to this and I really was unsure about how to handle this situation. I have been watching the discussions and trying to find the right direction in which to proceed.

I got the same stupid survey from paypal. Needless to say I wasn't complimentary on it. I guess I will try with my credit card directly now.
I'm working with some folks to try and have someone make personal contact at his business or house to try and get some more info on these boots. A freind of a friend knows someone at San Diego P.D..I'll keep you posted.

i need everyone whom talked with a paypal agent that said they would give us our money back if we all filed to pm me.
i only want the truth, not speculation. we are fighting a battle here and i dont want half truths or interpretations. hard core they said this kind of info.
i called paypal friday and went through 3 "offices". the last was titled 'office of executive esculation'. aka we dont care unless it is within 45 days. the rep for oee told me IF a paypal rep told one of us that they would refund then that paypal rep is the one that we or you need to talk to. only if it was annotated in their records. which i was told there wasnt by anyone. so i can go on but in the end paypal said TS.
my advice is to contact your bank or credit card company and file. i will post till i am done, exhausted or satisfied.
and Paul, Vincent. you 2 are going to hell until you resolve with all of us.
If Paypal is not going to do anything about this, then it looks like our only option is for each of us to take our cases to small claims and file police reports.:(

They never helped me with any complains but freeze my whole account for over 3 weeks just because I had the same last name like someone they had problmes with.
I could not even sell on ebay for this 3 weeks because ebay and paypal is the same s.. company.
Maybe it is because of the banking crisis, for me it seems like they try to hold clients money as long as possible.
