hehe the belt pouchs looks really good, all three of them, the second one is more size accurate, but the dye job on the first one is more like the third.

I wouldnt notice normaly, and I think it looks super fantastic, but your shooting for perfect so there ya go

Thanks everyone. Call196, one of the best things in life is honesty. I really appreciate it. It does look like the old ones in color, but it must be the orange moon outside that's throwing colors off.

And Obi - my old belt is sold. But....If anyone wants a belt and pouches, i would consider making a few here and there.

That could be it, it is an awfully bright picture. not saying it doesnt look awesome. Seeing your dedication is what brought me back into updating my Fett, without your efforts I wouldnt be here.

i measured my pouches and they line up with your specs turo except the length. they are about a 1/2 in too short. how much for just the pouches?

Looks great Seeker. Especially working with thick leather. Do you soften the leather up to make the flaps close or use what I use...velcro strips to close the flaps? Also, what preference of leather do you use..like cow, pig, ect..or does it depend on a grade quality? Thanks!

Nope. just do a strip that's about 11 inches tall and 2 wide. Then flip the strap around to have a 3 1/2 tall pouch.

Dude, the list could go on forever. it really depends what you would like to do. I would say go to www.tandy.com and check out all of there leather stuff. I only have tools for cutting, riveting, dying, and a few others. but they do carry tons of very cool tools which i dont need to use yet.

Of course it's really hard to see detail with web pictures. The one thing I was thinking that maybe could be done was to weather the edges of the leather a bit. I did notice in your newer shots that the new edges did appear a bit lighter which I really like compared to your old (and equally awesome) pouches. The sizes of the new pouches look very close to the production. Working the leather in over time will in my opinion do justice to the pouches like a nice old baseball glove.



All-in-all excellent as usual! Makes me really want to try some leatherwork. You set a great example of do-it-yourself.

It will be the belt and pouches. Pouches will shut close with velcro. They will be dyed with only 2 coats. I'll leave the rest for you guys to weather.

I have a set and they are INCREDIBLE- guys, this is top notch quality, custom made for a GREAT price. As Dwedd says, NO upgrades from this point.
