When you set the snaps you will want the CA glue as has been said, but I would highly suggest to get some accelarator too. It sets the glue instantly and allows you to put the snaps on very precisely.
You can get some at trooperbay, and he delivers very fast.
Looking good bro, when you are all done with this bad boy we will have to get a pic of you wearing it in the octagon!!!
Needs to be an All Star Wars version of that Video. "I'm Fett-sy and I know it!"Fett helmets, Cod Pieces, Boots & Gloves only!!
The "Haters" can be Trekkies!!!
wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, yeah!
LMAO- dont forget the high heels! I wont even wear a cod
One thing to remember with hot glue is that while trooping, the temp on the backside of the armor gets pretty warm. The troop that I did in December for the Snowball Express was in 40 degree temps outside and my armor was still damp from sweat when it was over. If you are trooping in higher heats like we get here in Texas, your body heat plus the heat of the day may be enough to weaken the glue.
I have seen several guys use hot glue on visors, and they fail at the most inopportune time.
Just a heads up on that.
Great insite Mullreel! Thanks bud
Since we have ran down the glue rabbit path..........here is the stuff I use, and recommend
2 Ounce Zap a Gap CA+ Glue | eBay
Zip Kicker Accelerant for Zap a Gap CA+ Glue | eBay
I have ordered from trooperbay several times and he is one of the few ebay sellers that I trust to order from, he is a 501st member and has fast service and delivery.
i personally like this glue Amazon.com: Maxi-Cure Extra Thick Glue, 1 oz.: Home Improvement
and this accelerant http://www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-151-...7730931&sr=1-1
Those are great links for glue. Thanks!!!
Got the washers you send to me bro!
It's awesome!![]()
Great work so far. I've just started on my Jango build. Helmet should arrive within a week.
Thanks guys!...slowly but surely
Dynamic - That seems to be the builder's motto: "Slowly but Surely." Anyhow, I had to do a couple of "tweaks" on the Girth for you. I should be able to get it in the mail by this Friday or Saturday. Like the vest, it will be a passable placeholder until you get your hands on a leather one.
J-
Someone say leather girth?I know of this TDH member who makes them

Your Jango is looking awesome buddy, following this with interest.
Also can't believe Overeem did that video, Dos Santos will knock him into next week ;-)
Haven't been on here in a long while...glad to see ya still making such good progress on the Jango!
Alright guys- We're getting a bit closer. I did my first test fit this evening minus the obvious gaunts, girth ; ), ammo belt, back plate and JP. Anyhow, I was able to get the straps mounted on the thighs, knees and shins as well as the "cod/holster rig" set up. The flight suit was beautifully done by Crazy4bobafett and turned out just perfect. Please shoot me your thoughts as this is still a work in progress.

Looks Great! Just a couple of things that you are probably already aware of...
1. Be sure to mount the holsters almost center to the thighs.
2. The Holster Rig might need to be raised up on the cod a bit; the holster rig sits flush underneath the girth.
3. FATTEN YOURSELF UP!! Jango was fit, but jeeeeeez!!!! You're making the rest of us look/feel like big, fat, FATTIES!!!
Awesome job. Glad to see this come together and I can't wait to see it unveiled at Frank & Sons!!
Awesome jason...thanks! Great reference w the holsters bc i wasnt quite sure there. Keep u posted.
Thnx

Aside from some gaunt problems (not B's fault) he looked AWESOME!!! Lot's of pics taken with him by children and adults alike. Congrats Buddy!!!

Very nice pics! I'm sure you made tons of kids days. Well done both of you.
Impressive!!
that is turning out awesome man!!! did you paint the armor yourself?... if so what exact kind of paint did you use to give the jango armor that metallic look?
it isn't actually paint.....you either buy cold cast which you buff to a shiny finish or you use Rub n Buff. The R+B is a paste that you smear on to the armor with the heat of your hand and it looks like metal.
Cold Casting is a way to cast resin or fiberglass that has a metal powder present in the outer layers. When you sand it smooth the cold cast shines like metal, but it is really just a resin.
