I need some advice about how to assemble my DIY jango girth belt. Funds are low so i'm trying to make a cost efficient bolo girth belt. I'm trying to keep my budget to about $80 at most.I was looking through the threads but didn't really find anything in the way of measurements.

anyone have any USA links?

i was looking at the braided bolo here. What size in millimeters should i be looking for and how wide (tall) should the belt be. There is also a number of colors to choose from, do you guys think the red brown would be a good place to start and then stain it from there? does it even seem possible to do this for $80? thanks for the help guys!

That is really hard to come by. I spent a week trying to find a supplier that would sell the right size. Cruzier might be the man to talk to. Tandy doesn't even carry that size of bolo.
Some folks used rope....not recommend while others use a loose lace bolo. Again, not recommend.
PM Cruzier or there might be a member sell one of their extras.
Cheers

You're looking for a 4-ply 6mm cord.
I'd contact JDFett and see if he's going to have any extra cord available. If not, contact The Leather Guy (Man?) here, and he has some economical cord you can use. As for doing if for $80, in leather, you won't know until you try.

You'll need:
Cord, enough for 19-20 rows
glue
stain
leather backing
leather cover
snaps/velcro, however you're going to close your cover
shoe lace, if you're going to have a screen accurate belt closure

Here's a link with a somewhat tutorial:
