I didnt build the bucket. TK2280 picked it up for me. Thor, I believe is the maker?

Here are the boots I got for him. Not perfect, but they will also double as his winter boots.. so.. double duty.. lol.

The Gears of War guy that gets killed in part 1 and then his brother got killed in part 2. Or maybe it is just a every day COG trooper. So, when can I come over ? (need to get out of house and basement)

    Re: My sons Jango

Cup, sorry I was out of town, and Im glad you found them.

I got the right gauntlet mostly finished, (actually, TK2280 gave me his sons old one, Im just making it look like Jangos.. hehe... Thanks Rob!!) and I made the shell for the left one last night. His thighs, shins and cod are made and primered, I just need to make the knees and the hard pieces will be done.

I picked up the hose and brass fittings from Lowes the other day, and in looking at the pix, the inside of Jangos hose looks blue?? Sooo I just put the nozzle of the spray can in the end of the hose and sprayed it in and it coated the inside very nicely.

Now, to cut out the pattern for his vest, sew it up and buy his jumpsuit.

Oh, I have more pix, just have to upload them.

    Ok, a few new pix.

I know that its not super detailed, but he will only wear it for a little bit before he is to big for it anyways. So Im not putting the details pieces that he will just break off...

    Re: My sons Jango

    Worked on his gauntlet tonight.

Does anyone have a link to a more accurate jumpsuit? A garrison mate of mine found a good link, but I was wondering if there is a closer in color one. I could always add some bleach and lighten the blue to purple... Also, is there a pattern floating around for the vest. I was in Joanns today and the only thing I could find didnt look right.

    Thanks, Wags

So I painted the gauntlet. I have to add another set of magnets to keep it shut though. Im dumb and forgot to compensate for his sleeve. But, the shirt he has on is really thick. So we will see when his flight suit gets here.

Still need to clear coat it. No thats not paint on his shirt, Im redoing the living room/dinning room and thats drywall dust that he is playing in.. kids....

Thanks fett4 and Kibosh, I got them from my sister about 6yrs ago for my bday. As a joke, cause they are kids size. They are rubies dart guns. So I just cleaned them down and painted them. I cant seam to find the kids size anymore though. Just the normal adults size.

Thanks. I reread my post, and did not mean to infer that yours were cheap. Just meant that I needed to pick up a pair, and wasn't sure where to get them.

Thanks guys.. I should have it done this weekend. As for the girth belt, its just the Rubies. Couldnt see spending alot of money on something he was only going to wear for a small time frame. I paid $9 shipped of ebay.

Ah! Perfect. It looks great. Are you going to make holsters?

What color is the flak vest? I can't tell if it's black, or dark gray. I went to the fabric store last night, and they only had a suitable black fabric, and I wasn't sure if it was too dark.

Ok, so the armor color dulled downed ALOT when I put on the poly But I'm not going to frett it... It will still look cool I think. I didn't get his gauntlet rocket done yet, but I will soon. Got side tracked by another project...

And its funny, but I have decided to make Jango "MY" next build. Im a Boba fan but a small guy and it seems that Jango is a bit stockier then Boba.. so that will be good for me..

Ok, so after talking with TK2280, we went through the options about attaching the armor.... and I think I am going to go with Ind Velcro. I think the snaps are just going to take way to long for the little guy.

So, Im hoping to get everything done this weekend. I hope. That is if the wife lets up on the reigns a bit on the house and lets me go out into the MC and play... lol

Well, I got the left gauntlet all done. I finished up the rocket last night. Easier then I thought. I took a dowel rod and marked the center on it then took it to my table sander and just ground it down. Then took a Bic pen apart and took off the ink tube and the ball point and cleaned out the ink and used it for the tip. I drilled into the tip of the cone so I could set it inside.

I also attached his armor pieces to his vest last night. It looks cool. I cant wait. I hope the weather man is wrong here for Mi, cause its supposed to rain on Halloween....

I have to add his thigh plates and shoe plates and a few more little things, but mostly done...

Thanks Thumper, JP. Its been fun building this.

This has helped me get a good feel for when I do mine.

I still need to figure out a way to get the boot plates on without tearing up his boots. They ARE his winter boots after all....

I had to shave down his thighs and shins down some. He has short legs.. and I refit his belt. Alot. It looks way better then in the pix now.I also am going to ad a snap in the back of his belt to hold it up a little better.

Oh, and I also got his left gauntlet clear coated and his rocket added to it.

Now onto my daughters Rotta back pack....

I put a small piece of velcro on the inside outer portion of the shoe armor, and then on each outside of the shoes. It moves with her stepping motion, but does not fall off at all. I used industrial strength velcro.

I am so jealous, these are the times I want a kid. I hope...no I expect that in about 10-15 years we see him on these boards with an uuber Jango costume. Out of respect for your effort, he's not allowed to give up costuming. (Ofcourse that is wishful thinking, I would never deny anyone the choice of costuming or not.)

    That's a great suit!

Did you end up finding a supplier for the flight suit and vest, or did you make it yourself?

    Cheers
    Steven

EDIT: Never mind, I've just seen your answer on another thread.
