Sorry Lorenzo but I had to do this :lol

:b:lol
Loanstar,you read in my thought!!!
I would used a pic of my girl....but it was too late (3.02 AM in Italy) to work with photoshop!!
Anyway....:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol too funny!!!!!!
:lol:lol
Dark-Side + Loanstar = permanently banned from the Cruzer gauntlet run list!:lol;)...ok, maybe not!
I guess they're big enough? :lol:lol:lol
That is hilarious!!!!
:lol
....pics with measurements.
thanks for the measurements. My MOW are bigger at the rear opening, and pretty close either way at the wrist.
Jeebers Cruz, those are amazing! Seeing the whole build up from Pollock to Monet is awesome!! Man im glad im 5'10'':lol I wish i could critique them somehow...maybe if i had a hands on pair ;) They look great and i would have to say that you are no longer a noob at prop building. I can see it now................www.cruzerconspiracy.com aww the possibilities are endless. You could even have an automatic measurement converter!!!!:lol Keep up the fantasmic work sir!:cheers
So do those dimensions work for most people in the 5'6"-5'10" range?
Only reason I ask is because it's still not too late to make changes, and I'll need to make any modifications before the molding can start...which I hope is very soon.
Thanks:thumbsup
SO do you think they would look kinda funny on a guy that is 6'2"?
I would bet the MOW's would be better for your height.
So its small fry restricted huh.
P.S. You better be careful Cruzer, there has been a new recall on spinach from Ca.
:lol...I would say they are more for people who are closer to screen accurate height.
Also, I actually received Dark-Side's hinge yesterday, which he cut to what he calculated to be screen size lengths before sending them out...and they fit the gauntlets perfectly!:thumbsup So we may have gotten the gauntlets closer to screen size length than I had thought!:cheering
I too would recommend MOWs for people 6' and above because of their length, or also Ruffkins and modifying them to be Jangos.
My sculpts may work...but it would be best to see their scale on a 6' person before saying so.
I only eat it out of the can after I've ripped the can open with my bare hands!:lolQuote:

Just to let everyone know, the side indicated by the green arrows in the pic below is really straight, but the camara angle made it look curved. I didn't want anyone to be concerned about that.
Thanks
Cruzer
I'm 6 feet tall.........I would be happy to "take one for the team"....in the name of science. Send them over. :lol
Im going to pick up one of those fabric/tailoring tape measures so that i can measure my arm then you can make them just for me!!!:lol One question which might have been answered...are you going to use the locking hinges instead of velcro or magnets?
They are constructed to use only the hinge and pin closing system. They're not being made with any type of additional lip for a velcro closing system.
Excellent:cheers
Thats excellent C! Im loving my hinges you put in.
Man, I may have to buy a set of these.
:)
I could add a lip for a velcro closure if that's what members wanted. It would just have to be trimmed off for a "hinge & pin" closure. I'll keep it like it is unless people voice they want a lip for velcro.
Made an adjustment to the curve under the missile for more accuracy, thanks to Dark-Side's keen eye!:thumbsup
Added a little color to them, and molding should start next weekend.:thumbsup
They are just too cool!
I will def be interested in a set when they become available.
Cheers and great work.
Tony
Those look FANFREAKENTASTIC Cruzer !!!!!
FP
Thanks Fettpride.
If they turn out half as good as your cold cast beauties did, I'll be happy!:) The finish on those is amazing!
Wow ! Awesome !
..magnificent !
Man Lorenzo, those are FANTASTIC!!
I'm no JF but these look fantastic! :thumbup
Hey Cruzer, really amazing...
FORGET about the velcro closure mate... Velcro is a pain...!!! do it with the hinge-system !!!
I'm dying to get mine !!!
Looking great!:thumbsup
But the question that keeps me hitting refresh is:
When will Cruzer post a few COLD CAST pics????????
Top work, you are the man!
:lol Thanks guys for the compliments.
All the pieces are scheduled to be molded this Sunday by the Sci-Fire crew, so the molds will be top-notch. I need to place an order with Dark-Side for some aluminum darts so I can show you guys a completely assembled pair for that first pull. And I'm checking on cold cast materials as we speak.:thumbsup
L, dude this just keeps getting better and better. You da man! :cheers
Will the hinges be available to those with other gauntlets?
Dark-Side has access to the hinges, so you'll want to contact him.
Looking pretty good... The best Jango gauntlets I've seen till now.
Any news about those bad boys? ;)
yes..im very interested in a pair as well...I'm just under 6' but will also take one for the team..LOL as my arms are not that long..
Hey guys. The molds are still in the process of being made. I believe all of the molds for the smaller pieces are done, which leaves just the shells to be completed. Getting into the shop to continue molding the gauntlets is what has postponed finishing the project. I guess they've been pretty busy with movie production stuff. I'll be sure to give an updated when the first pair is complete.:thumbsup
Thanks,
Cruzer
hey cruzer,
i would be interested in the little flare you mentioned for velcro...not to actually use for velcro but to add a small extra bit to the circumference of the inside, my forearms are about 13" and unfortunatley im working out for sparta..LOL so i want to make sure I can still put the things on after I get leonidas huge...:lol:lol
Only one set of molds is being made for these gauntlets, so they will not have the velcro lip due to the majority preference. So it looks like you'll have to choose between Sparta or Jango style forearms.:lol No seriously though, I'd check into a pair of Ruffkin's as his are a very good option for those with large forearms.:thumbsup
i may still take my chances as Ive got about another 30 lbs to lose still for sparta...maybe that will help...Ill be checking to see when you get things together...
Actually, I was just thinking that the shells have been built up a tad for molding in order to create a clean trim line. So you may be able to use that excess area to expand the gauntlets a tad in height and width. So they may just work for forearms that are a tad higher in diameter. Only dilemma is those areas would have to be filled in to be flush with the rest of the sides, and if cold casted that would be challenging but not impossible. However, I think it could be made to work.:thumbsup
ya..i would probably go without the cold casting...as nice as it is..be easier to blend it and such if it was a bondo/pant job to accomodate my forearms...i think you planned to offer them as non cold casted as well right?
i was curious cruzer...
are the missle, darts, ect part of the kit and im assuming if so they are resin...if not no big deal as i have aquired all machined aluminum stuff except the darks on the front of the gauntlet(bigger ones..not the 4 little ones) if they are part of the overall kit would you sell the gauntlets without the resin pieces i dont need for an alternate price...again just curious as i have some stuff for them waiting..LOL
