My Jango WIP.....NOW FINISHED

We're these in cc or silver polish? Guessing the polish on the top pic as it has the dotting with darker colors around the edge. Does kinda make it look like hammered steel though. If it's silver polish do you notice a tendency for it to wipe off?

All of the armor is cold cast fiberglass. I finish out the armor by sanding it smooth and shiny and then use Mother's or Maquire's metal polish. After I got it as shiny as I could, then I weather it with acrylic craft paint. I use black, burnt umber, and a light grey to do the weathering.

In your question about "silver polish" are you referring to Rub n Buff? I use R+B on many things and I have never had it rub off to any extent.

:). Thanks for the thread itself, advice on others' threads.

I have the coldcast armor as well, and haven't gotten the shine out of it that I wanted, using .0000 steel wool and water. Taking care not to scrub too hard.

Was about to give up and go the rub-n-buff route, but I will keep trying to polish the CC use of those polishes, then the weathering.

I have also worked to get back into Jango shape. I am down 15 lbs and down to about 11% body fat. It sure helps me feel better when trooping.

As far as the armor shine goes.........are you polishing it with a Mother's polish or such. That is when the shine will really come out. If you haven't then hit it with some aluminum polish like you would get from Walmart or an auto parts store.

Your Jango Fett is kind of like Kate Upton… It doesn't photograph poorly from any angle!

I was gonna compliment but I don't know how anyone can follow that up. Congrats on an amazing build, Mullreel. I remember starting mine around the same time as you but yours has come out a million times better than I could've ever done.

I was able to get some insurance on Halloween night, it includes intentional lightsaber decapitation.

Absolutely love the shine off the helmet and everything! You wear this perfectly, and you could give those LucasFilm costumers a run for their money!!!
