My Jango WIP......

Thought I would go ahead and start my WIP thread. I've ordered and have all but two pieces here already. I have most started and few parts actually finished. The people here are fabulous and I can't say enough good things about the way they've answered questions and guided me through this whole process.

Ok, so I ordered all cold cast, helmet, armor and gauntlets along with girth belt, pouches and holsters from Cruzer! WOW is the only words to describe this guys products! I had expectations but nowhere near the height of his craftmanship. Not only does he offer high quality products his communication and willingness to help makes him wonderful to deal with.
Arkady made the flight suit and she nailed it. Sent her my measurements and it fits like a glove. She also went above and beyond in helping make it as good as it could possibly get!

I'm waiting on my vest and aluminum darts and accessories at the moment. Got lucky and was added to Darksides latest run and should get those any day. The vest was custom made by a guy from California and I will add that company name later as it has completely left me at the moment.

The arena pack was made by NME props. It's a really fine piece of work too. It's actually took me the longest and I still have some more to do on it. I'm going to post a few pictures and I'll be updating this often, as I'm working on it everyday. Defiantly give me your feedback! I want it to be as good as I can get it and just hope it's half as good as what I've seen on here.

I left a main contributor out whos answered so many of my questions. Mullreel has been a life saver on several bumps in the road I've encountered. His suit is top notch and has lots of Jango knowledge. Thanks to everybody and this awesome page for helping a newbie along the way!

Everything looks good so far. Just keep posting progress pics and you will be fully suited up in no time.

Of course everything looks really clean right now but I know you will hit the weathering as you go.

Good job, and thanks for the compliment.

A little before and after. This is the first time I've attempted the weathering. I love doing this. Using the acrylic paint gives you freedom to experiment, knowing you can always wipe it off with water. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I've never liked a shiny shiny Jango so the dirtier, grittier and used the better.
Thoughts from the pros please.......

Looks good. The weathering is good and definitely not too much. As you weather just think about where dirt and grime naturally builds up, then I like to think about how it would run down with gravity as you wear it.

But like I started with, looking good. Keep the updates coming.

Thanks guys for the kind words. I'm going to do a bit more to it but I'm looking at all the pictures to see others work. Loving this stuff for sure.

Looking great buddy! As Mullreel stated, definitely not too much. Something I like to do and it adds a bit of an "aged" appearance is blow some grimy black (just slightly) on the circumference of the rocket base, as well as behind... . Keep it up!(y)

Looks great so far...and glad to hear you're happy with everything. So thank you for the kind words.

Gauntlets finished. It killed me to paint that pretty, shiny Darkside rocket. What do you guys think? Need more or is this sufficient? I'm going by the photos in the gallery.

Done some more weathering tonight. Finally decided to do the helmet. It kills me to make it so shiny then make it look used. I love this part though.

weathering looks good on the front and sides....the back looks a little bit too patterned. Easy fix though, just take a damp cloth and rub it down. It will naturally take off some of the weathering in an uneven and chaotic scheme.

Looking good though.

Ok so this is my first time having it all on at one time. I can see that my belt is sagging at bit but I'm putting snaps on the belt and beat to hold it in place. My jetpack isn't the way I want so a minor adjustment there as well. Overall it was a pretty successful first test fit. Send them critiques. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I know the boots aren't right either. These are just temporary until I can land some better ones. I didn't imagine all the stuff that goes in to wearing this suit! It was quite the undertaking to say the least!!

It is a journey you can only appreciate as you near the end. Jango Fett is a very detailed kit.

Overall I think you have it. The jet pack definitely need to come up higher. Jango's jet pack rides very high on his back. I think you chest spacing could open up just a bit too. You are certainly good enough on the spacing to pass but if you open it up just a hair you can close the gap between the girth and the ab plate a bit.

take a look at these pics to see what I am talking about

Only other thing I would nitpick is that your visor seems a bit squinty. Not sure why but it looks narrow.

Like I started with though I think you got it. The kit looks good and it looks good on you. Be proud of where you have gotten.
