    My Jango Suit

After looking at thes boards for the last 2-3 weeks I have I have begun my Jango Fett Costume project. This will be my progress thread. These first pics are some of the stuff I have acquired.

1.& 2. I bought a pair of gloves that I liked (not really screen accurate) but that were the wrong color so I bought some fabric paint and it works pretty good even though the color I was painting over was black.

    3. I went to Joann's and did some shopping. I found this silver/ grey vinyl in the remnants section for 7 bucks it just big enough for my flack vest. Here it is with the pattern I made using ladysewforus's tutorial. Thank you Lady Sewforus!

    4. & 5. found a reddish brown cord that is used for making curtains I think on clearance for .50 cents a yard to use for my girth belt. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to cover the whole belt. I left the middle uncovered. Hopefully that will be covered up by the leather over belt.

    6. Some silver/ grey material I also picked up a Jo Anns incase that vinyl wasn't big enough it ended up being the backing for the girth belt. (sorry abut the sideways Pic)

    7. & 8. The finished girth belt.

    9. I also picked up some knee pads that I hope to transform into the knee plates of my armor.

Well thats my start, more to follow.

    Re: My Jango Suit

I got my Flight suit, Guns and helmet today. I'm going with a Rubies "supreme" helmet because it was what I could afford. I got the guns and helmet from this site: http://www.starwarscostumeshop.com/195042.html

The guns cam with a belt and holsters but there cheap plastic and way too small.

and the Flight suit here: http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/Un...coveralls.html

    Re: My Jango Suit

I Started work on the armor pieces using WOF's brilliant templates. I'm using the trash can method. http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showt...ghlight=sintra I know its not ideal for Jango but again it's within my budget. I got a 13 gallon and a 8 gallon oval sterilite flip top trash can as was used in the post and it wasn't quite enough. (i was so anxious to get started I forgot to take a pic before I started cutting.) I'm going to have to go back and get another 13 gallon to do the shin and thigh plates. Here in Portland OR, USA I could not find them at Wal-mart but was able to find them at Fred Meyer (the one on hawthorne and 39th ave if anyone happens to be in this area and looking for them.)

The handle fits my hand (and I have a big hand) but the trigger will be a tight fit with gloves on. I can still make it work and it makes neat blaster sounds *PHEW* *PHEW!*

EDIT:Sorry those pics are a bit fuzzy.

looks like a decent start... the blasters are almost the right size, except the barrels are too short by like an inch or two.

Also what color coveralls did you get? I figure you will be dyeing them to get a better color, but automotiveworkwear does sell a color called postman blue that is pretty close... also buying a second over and cutting the sleeves is rather easy to accomplish, my seamstress (mom) did it no problem at all.

Yeah thats the postman blue, it might not be showing up well because of the lighting.
