My 5 year old son's completed Jango!

NoahFett

Jr Hunter
I decided to make a Jango Fett for my son for Free Comic Book day and wanted to post some pics for you guys to see what you thought. It took me like 2 weeks with my mother in laws help (she sewed the flight suit and vest). I wish I had taken more progress pics, but hindsight is 20/20;D I made all the armor from matboard. The bottom half of the helmet is matboard also, but the dome is a skate helmet cut down to size. I used WOFs templates for both the armor and the helmet. I reduced the armor templates down to 65% and the helmet I think I did at 85%. We went with the blue color on the flight suit because there's an action figure with that same color blue and my son liked it better than the gray.

The helmet before paint and before I filled in the dome holes. Lower half is mat board from Michaels and the dome is a skate helmet from Wal Mart that was on clearance for like 5 bucks. I didn't

Ammo belt before paint. The pouches are EVA craft foam with cardboard sides. The belt is from the Goodwill Store and was a dollar. I cut it down to fit and put some velcro on it to replace the buckle. I painted the belt and pouches with brown spray paint and then hit it with a flat clear coat.

This is the stuff I made the jetpack with. My son liked the stubby pack the best. The ketchup and mustard containers are the fuel tanks and the pringles can is the missile housing. I used the bigger nerf ball for the warhead missile and the smaller ball I cut in half and used for the tops of the fuel tanks. The plastic wine glasses are the thrusters and the round nerf ball, after I cut it in half, is the bottom vent.

And here is the finished product with some 501st members and superheros thrown in for good measure! Let me know what you think.

I'll probably be taking him to Baltimore ComicCon so any improvements you can think of, please let me know. Im going to add some velcro to the chest piece and figure out how to get the girth belt, ammo belt and holsters to stay up higher. Also, I'm going to make a new antenna (I whipped this one up the morning of FCBD). I'll probably improve on the gauntlets as well, especially the left gaunt.

I forgot to say I got a lot of the jetpack ideas from members on here and on the RPF. Ill have to get their names and post them up here later.

Thanks Stinkape! I was checking out your avatar and I'm hoping to have my Boba Fett done in time for the Baltimore Comic Con so I can get a pic like yours, except Boba and little Jango. A little backwards, I know, but should still be pretty cool!

He had a blast thebeans! Vultana, are you the Jango Fett that Captain Rex was talking about? She said Jango was at the other Third Eye location I think.

Looks great! Valcro does wonders. I have valcro sewn on my sons flight suit to hold the holsters on for his Pre Viszla. Nothing else. Bad part he's already out grown the fight suit. Now he wants a different costume!
