    MR blaster question

So, I got some MR's today and my question is this; do you guys remove the orange plug, paint over it, or leave it as is? If you remove it, will it damage the blaster at all, and can it be reinstalled? I know there was a thread on here before, but I searched and can't find it.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Shawn

    Re: MR blaster question

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure if you strip them down the part with a bright orange sticker on (inside the bulb) can be turned around so the orange faces in, can't remember the colour on the reverse, but it is better than the bright orange.

Now you want to know how to remove the bulb right? I think you remove the grub screw fully (located at the front of the barrel just before the buld) then you can twist the bulb off. The brass section at the front screws onto the central brass barrel, this holds it all together, the grub screw centralises it.

    Hope that helps brother.

Hey, thanks guys... I found the info that I was looking for. Jango5204 helped me out. Its actually a plug with an o-ring, but when its removed, it leaves an odd looking opening. I was told that it looks best when its just painted over, so thats the route that I'm gonna take with them.

    Re: MR blaster question

Eh, I used to own a pair. Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about it, as it can be hard to really spot out. IDK, I'm kind of a purist and don't like to alter MR props...

I reveresed mine...they are now just aluminum facing outward. The disassembly was rather easy and made it easier to polish and clean.

    Re: MR blaster question

I paid out the rear for a new set and while pristine visually, the bottoms were loose as I suspected they would be. I fixed them by adding a sliver of a foamie between the grip and base. They are SOLID now.

Thrax, got a pic of what you did to yours?
