There both good, I'd go with where you live. BM-U.K. MLC-U.S.A. otherwise the shipping is gonna kill you.

I've never really seen any of MLC's work but I can say tha Bobamakers stuff is of the highest quality, but both places will likely take weeks to make due to their zillion orders a week they need to fill, so be patient...
Jan 9, 2007, 10:33 PM - Re: mlc or bm jp?
The MLC pack is a bit cheaper cost wise but quality is comparable. As far as I know (i could be wrong) but I think both kits are more or less ready to be painted out of the box. I know for a fact Bobamakers kit is but the mlc one might need a small amount of touching up.

Yep, Bobamakers comes in grey primer and is ready to paint right out of the box-which I appreciated a great deal...

can't go wrong with an MLC, but if you want to save just a little more money, Ruffkin has a great jet pack as well

Ya gotta tough question right there! All propmakers' :jet packs discuessed here are top quality. I've currently got an MLC1, and I have a new BM :jet pack for my scheduled to arrive shortly. I will say the MLC1 is VERY lightweight just from having trooped it it.

Ive got my major BM order coming up soo looking forward to it.
Id go BM, but its personal preference... he has been nothing but helpful with me
Jan 24, 2008, 2:26 AM - Re: mlc or bm jp?
The MLC is a nice JP... but there is no doubt that the BM is more accurate. Sharper edges, really awesome. I owe one, and all I can say is that is the best JP I've ever seen... more expensive, yes, but from my point of view, simply better.
Jan 24, 2008, 7:25 AM - Re: mlc or bm jp?
I love my MLC pack...in fact I loved it so much that I ordered a second one and it is on it's way to me now!
Seriously I have a second coming.

Ok , things have changed since I posted on this thread way back when
Here's a comparison thread I did with BM & MLC packs
and here's one that someone did with opinions

I got my MOW the other day and for the price, it's a good quality JP. I also agree with Pennywise, "buy where you live" even though the BM JP is top notch, the shipping will kill ya. but I'm sure all the JP makers mentioned on this thread are good.
Jan 24, 2008, 10:10 AM - Re: mlc or bm jp?
All the guys making them are great.
It depends on your stature. I think MLC is better for smaller guys. (I had one I dont think it looked right) That is a personal view. However mardon is a great guy to buy stuff from I like him alot.
Daz is also an amazing prop maker and hell of a business guy.
Bradley makes a nice pack. It involves some work but is well done.
MOW looks great and people say alot of nice stuff about it.
In the end it all depends on how deep your pockets are I suppose.

My 100% complete and painted BM costume arrived this past month, and it truly is a thing of beauty. I love it! The man is not only an artist, but a truly honest and helpful individual. "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. (mint)"
